started the season with 7 straight wins and 2nd behind Dortmund halfway through the season. They'd still be happy with the 5th place finish though. Just 2 seasons removed from their 2nd division stint they are now going to play European football.
Glad to have someone who knows the bundesliga well. I admire Hoffenheim of all teams in the bundesliga since their promotion from second tier. their maiden voyage to the bundesliga brought them instant success UNTIL Ibisevic got injured somewhere in the December-January period. After that, steady decline continued. Hope they can still maintain their top-half status next year, even with Babel on the lineup..(Sorry, I'm not a fan of Babel).
Anyway, David Alaba, who is a current player of Hoffe, is from Bayern right?
EDIT: oh, just a loan..
Good end to the season. 4 matches in 5 days. 4 wins. (1 competitive match and 3 friendlies- Stuttgart, Düren District XI, Paulaner XI and Zenit St Petersburg).
Bayern went undefeated in their last 9 Bundesliga matches.
Farewell to Thomas Kraft, Andreas Ottl and Hamit Altintop.
2.Bundesliga top scorer Nils Petersen signed a 3 year contract. He'll wear no.9 previously worn by greats Gerd Müller and Giovane Elber (and Luca Toni).

LOL at Luca Toni being in the parenthesis.)
"Today, FC Bayern Munich and FC Schalke 04 agreed to terms of the transfer of Manuel Neuer. Consequently, Neuer will join the German record champions on July 1, 2011."
yep finally it's official.
Neuer signed a 5 year contract.
RB Rafinha (Genoa, Schalke) also signed a 3 year deal. His arrival means Philipp Lahm will switch back to LB.

sa Bundesliga lang.hope Bayern can go far sa CL since the final will be played at the Allianz Arena.
sana malakas pa din BVB next season even with the loss of Sahin. i can't see any other team mounting a challenge for the title.
Bayern always takes drastic action after a disappointing season. Last time Bayern finished 4th in 06-07, the signings were Ribery, Toni, Klose, Altintop etc. Bayern promptly won the title the following season.![]()
Wonder why Schalke players are going to Bayern. It's like a vacuum cleaner ng mga players sa Bundesliga then boom, nasa kanila na. Though I think it's a much, much better idea than what, say City/Madrid, is doing. They buy players that are proven in their league (and can speak German really well) which is pivotal in team chemistry.
Buti na lang si Rakitic napunta Sevilla. Yey.![]()
Bayern vs Gladbach
Neuer - Rafinha, Boateng, Badstuber, Lahm - Robben, Schweinsteiger, Gustavo, Müller, Kroos - Gomez
subs: Butt, Van Buyten, Ribery, Tymoschuk, Usami, Alaba, Petersen

I hope Alaba gets a breakout campaign
90th minute goal by Gustavo!
1-0!
Excellent defense but struggled offensively all game long. Fantastic game from Kroos and Rafinha.
He had a pretty good pre-season especially against the regional teams but most likely he's not going to see a lot of action in the Bundesliga.
Rafinha is a RB. So is Lahm back to LB?
Haven't watched the game but I've been reading comments that Bayern were just lucky enough to win it; that Wolfsburg dominated the whole match and were very unlucky to acquire only 0 points from this match. Helmes even got the header in and it was called offside??? Terrible call. He was miles away from the last defender when the ball was brought in.
But I guess in the end, it's the final score that counts.![]()
Bayern 3-0 FCK
Hat-trick for Super Mario (37' 55' 69').
Bayern's 3rd straight clean sheet win (+2 in the CL) to go top of the standings.
Alaba with a suprise start (over Kroos).
Yep. Bayern would not budge on Benfica's demand of 30M for Coentrao, decided to switch Lahm back to LB and instead got Rafinha for 5M. So far, so good but against teams with superior aerial strength at set-pieces, Heynckes prefers to start Jerome Boateng at RB and Van Buyten at CB.
