I've read some unconfirmed spoilers. It looks like Kawamori wants his "King of Trolls" title back.

He can either do a Tomino with the Zeta movies (by changing the ending) or give shippers what they want - Alto gets to be with either Sheryl or Ranka, and none of that "you're my wings" bullsh!t like in the TV show.

Unconfirmed rumors for the second Macross F movie:

- Due to Leon's machinations, everyone from the Galaxy fleet or anyone with cybernetic implants are branded traitors. Sheryl and Grace get the death penalty.

- Grace gets hacked to pieces and her still-living head is in a glass case in Leon's office.

- Final battle with the Vajra queen doesn't go well with a lot of the Frontier fleet being decimated.

- Aftermath of the battle has the Vajra queen fold out with Alto in tow.

- Ranka gives Sheryl a blood transfusion to cure the latter's sickness but Sheryl remains in a coma.

- Isamu and his YF-19 (or an upgraded VF-19) make a cameo.

Yep, marami pa nga, pero maganda siya, kahit may konting inconsistency. Pinakamalupit talaga nung nag-cosplay si Alto ng maid costume

Anyway, kung yung first movie ay retelling ng Ep. 1-13, eto naman ay may bagong story, bagong songs, and medyo brutal. Anyway,buhay pa si Mikhail dito.
