The Perfect Summer



Synopsis:

Erika Samonte (Bea Alonzo) lives her life blissfully with her long-term fiancee Filo (Derek Ramsay). She's set to the the knot with him in the near summer of April. Everything is perfectly planned until her new found family and boss Don Enrico Matthews (Eddie Garcia) defied her in a challenge to find his hidden treasure in the remote resort in Palawan. Baffled and reluctant at first because of her coming wedding, she accepted the challenging search to find her boss' hidden wealth in the beautiful island of the west. Leaving only two perplexing clues, Erika realized the stringency of the mission received.

Filled with confusion over the assignment's worth, Erika gave her shot in accomplishing Mr. Mathew's substantial deal. Upon the search, she met Dennis (Zanjoe Marudo), a religiously cocky native of the place and a freelance carpenter. By being persuasive and mischievous, he easily earned the annoyance of Erika that set their wall stiff.


Erika almost surrendered in the unresponsive call to her search 'till she chanced upon Dennis as the primary key in all of the journey's answer. But the guy uses his wit to win the heart of the manileña. The uncalled for agreement generated love in the process.

Erika left torn between two lovers. A set up that she didn't dream will happen. Who will she choose? The greatest shock of her life occurred during her stay in the beautiful landscape of the place that will intertwine love from past to present.

This is only a rough draft in a script form though it really has a great potential to be a novel but there's too much requirements in dealing with adjectives and subplots that I'm trying to invent.

Reviews and Comment: It's very hard to please anyone to read this stuff unless you have the passion in reading love stories and the likes but good to know a lot had read my piece and gave very good comments and reviews in my work, here are some:

Why I wrote this script?

-- I wrote it from January to March and I have to believe it's really hard. I made this kind of story as an answer to all the frustrations and wasted time watching filipino love flicks in general, just a little.

Is it a cliche?

As the description emphasize, it could be, but love story is always a cliche to everyone but what sets this story appart from other is its twist, very different (in my book). It is comprised of logical subplots that made the whole story intact with each other. Walang paliguy liguy.

I didn't add any single teleserye cliche because it will ruin the whole thing. I made it as original as possible. The love-theme here is very strong and logical compared to the twist itself.. Mas malayong umangat ang lovestory with the help of the very effective twist of fate.

Believe me this story is UNPREDICTABLE, very much..

About the characters:

B and Z team up
- it's really a danger for them to be paired in the big screen if given shallow formulaic lovestory. They'll only stand out in this type of love story because of their innate capabilities in acting and spontaneous personality.

Bea- She's very serious in first impression and her face tells us so. In this movie(story), she's serious all the time. Very strong and without any hint of vulnerability but she'll be in the process..

Z-- If this will become a movie, it'll be his best role ever... Tough and very vulnerable in love without an O.A. factor. I believe he's the only living filipino who can portray this role perfectly. It was really a tailor-made..

Markets:

Ang market nito is yung mga watchers ng No Other Woman because it contains very intimate scenes of Bea and Z as in INTIMATE! But compared to NOW, mas may story ito kase may mga subplots..
Very profound and pagtackle about sa Love because it's a DESTINY THEMED STUFF..

Hindi pa nagstart si Z sa OMT. May two shooting days pa siya sa Rematado. July na siya makapag umpisa sa OMT. Sabagay next next week July na.
