Why we love her Ever since Swift's 2006 debut, detractors have predicted her demise — dismissing her as too girlish, too precious, even too pretty to be truly talented. But we have to wonder if those skeptics are actually listening: With every piece of new music, from the sly lyrical kiss-offs of the Grammy-winning ''Mean'' to the nimble sweetness of recent country chart-topper ''Ours,'' Swift proves she's a masterful storyteller, an expert at turning a single moment or emotion into a lush, relatable pop-country postcard.
What's next Since revealing a darker, more stripped-down side with the Hunger Games soundtrack's lead single, ''Safe & Sound,'' Swift continues to show her growth as a songwriter with another Games track soon headed for radio: ''Eyes Open'' — which she describes, in unSwift-y fashion, as a ''haunting, creepy warning.'' Later this year, she plans to release her fourth studio album.

Ed Sheeran is writing for one of world's biggest sellers

ED Sheeran will be able to hang up his homemade beads and buy some solid gold chains pretty soon.
He has been writing with top-selling country singer Taylor Swift on tracks for her next album — and the royalties could net him millions.
A source says: “Ed and Taylor have been in the studio in LA a lot over the past few weeks working on new material.
“She’s into her British music and became a massive fan of Ed before asking to work with him recently.
“There is a mutual affection between the pair.
“It’s still to be officially decided how the material will be released but just a single credit on her album will be worth big money.
“Taylor’s country sound is massive around the world.”
Taylor has sold 22million albums and more than 50million downloads worldwide — which puts her in the same league as acts like Coldplay and Jay-Z.
A co-write credit on an album track would earn Ed around £200,000.
Huge sales ... country music star Taylor Swift
But if one of the songs they’ve worked on is picked to be a single, then the sky’s the limit.
It’s good news for the ginger singer, who already has a credit on One Direction’s album and is wanted by the boyband for their second.
Working with Taylor will give a decent boost to Suffolk lad Ed’s profile across the pond too.
He’s been hanging around in Los Angeles since finishing his US tour, having meetings with other artists and high-powered record label execs.
And having Elton John heading his management firm won’t hurt Ed’s quest to crack the States either.

Taylor Swift Speak Now Tour Exhibit to Open at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Theron Kirkman, AP
Taylor Swift's globe-trotting, record-breaking Speak Now tour played to more than 1.5 million fans, with 111 shows in 19 countries spanning four continents. Now, fans visiting Nashville will be able to relive the experience (or see what they missed) when Taylor Swift: Speak Now -- Treasures from the World Tour opens on June 6 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
The exhibition, which runs through November 4, 2012, will include dozens of costumes, instruments, set pieces and props from the tour, and will faithfully recreate 10 vignettes from the tour. Among the items on display will be Taylor's Roberto Cavalli ombre gold bugle-beaded dress and shimmering red Gibson Les Paul model electric guitar, featured during her performance of "The Story of Us"; the singer's pale blue silk Marchesa gown with rhinestone bodice, and white piano bench with tufted leather upholstery, both featured in "Back to December"; her red, sequined Jenny Packham slip dress and knee-high leather boots, worn during "Better Than Revenge"; the Taylor brand koa wood ukulele with mother-of-pearl inlay, used during her acoustic performance of "Fearless"; and Taylor's golden Valentino ball gown, featuring layers of tulle and a sequin overlay; dancers' and aerialists' costumes; and the "Juliet balcony" in which she soared above the crowd during each performance of "Love Story." See the entire list of items and vignettes on display here.
Earlier this month, Taylor pledged $4 million to fund a new education center at the museum. It was the largest capital contribution by an individual artist in the museum's 45-year history, prompting the museum to name the new space the Taylor Swift Education Center. The center, comprised of two stories, with three classrooms and an exhibit space geared toward kids, is expected to open in early 2014 and is part of a $75 million expansion of the entire Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville.
"Taylor Swift's Speak Now tour was one of the most successful tours in all of music, and she has been an ambassador for country music, raising awareness of our genre literally around the globe," says Museum Director Kyle Young. "We are delighted to be able to bring our visitors up close and personal with many of their favorite elements from the show, from the colorful and elaborate stage costumes and beautiful instruments, to the magnificent 'Juliet balcony' that Taylor entered near the conclusion of each show and 'flew' around the circumference of each venue. Taylor is a dynamic live performer whose open heart and engaging personality allow her to make even the largest stadium shows an intimate experience."
Taylor has been a longtime supporter of the museum, donating dresses, stage costumes and instruments for display. A free-standing, Taylor Swift multimedia exhibit has been one of the museum's most popular attractions since its debut in May 2010.

Ed tweeted this time around, earlier in the week, “lovely day in the studio, lots of new songs finished.”
After the session, Taylor retired to her home with Meredith The Cat. “Chinese food. Law and Order DVDs. Cat. Blanket. Couch,” she wrote.
We can’t wait to hear what Taylor and Ed have been working on!
Museum to Put Up Major Taylor Swift Exhibit
Items include the “Juliet balcony” that Taylor used to fly over audiences during “Love Story.”

Very few 22-year-olds get their own exhibit in a nationally renowned museum. Then again, few 22-year-olds have sold more than 22 million albums and 50 million digital tracks.
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will open its first major Taylor Swift exhibit June 6, perhaps not coincidentally just before this year's CMA Music Festival in Nashville kicks off.
The exhibit is called Taylor Swift: Speak Now—Treasures From the World Tour. And it features Taylor's stuff from—you guessed it—her 2011-2012 Speak Now Tour, which hit 19 countries on four continents.
That means fans can see things small and large from the tour, including the mallet she used to ring the bells for "Haunted" and the "Juliet balcony" she used to soar above fans when she performed "Love Story."
Taylor recently pledged $4 million to support the museum's education initiatives.
Her exhibit will be open through Nov. 4.
