Anyone here take the exam yesterday? Awa ng diyos, nahirapan ako ng malupit. haha. I know a lot of people say it's just stock knowledge, but it's tricky if you haven't touched base with your algebra and geometry. almost 7 years nako out of school. Na black out ako panandalian when one of the questions was about the area of the triangle. 1/2Base*Height. now i remember. kahapon, nosebleed.

i took the exam yesterday. everything was easy except for reading comprehension where you can not go back to the article. math was chicken. i was able to review everything before the submission.

lol i wish i wasn't as forthcoming with my geometry issues. anyway, yeah overall logic *** pinakamadali naka review pa ako. sa quantitative no more time to reviews sakto lang. reading compre was easy but like cournot06 said, hindi na pwede balikan *** article once u start answering.

@albert116, i know about the interview but i had no idea may proficiency test pa. Is this to gauge your skills in financial modelling and/ or accounting?

nope, just to know if you have the level of proficiency in accounting (fundamentals) and quantitative methods. I'm not sure with MBA, but this is the case for MSF. Don't worry, they will offer proficiency workshops.

The results are posted already. Akala ko di ako tanggap kasi wala ako sa for interview. Nabiyak pusok ko. Yun pala nasa For Proficiency Exam step na ako. Does that mean di ko na kailangan dumaan pa sa interview?

I think it depends on the highest and lowest score in the exam. From that spread of ratings, they will get a certain percentage deemed as PASSED. Kinda like the BELL Curve in Basic stat. This is how i think of it coz its supposed to be a standardized exam.

Those who are listed under “For Proficiency Exam” do not need to undergo interview.

Those who are to be interviewed shall need to pass the interview. Thereafter, shall be required to take the Proficiency Exam.

Once you pass the Proficiency Exam, that is when you will be admitted to the UP MBA Program.

Does anybody here know some tips for the Proficiency Exam? And how hard that is?

what exactly is the purpose of the proficiency test? kapag hindi ko po ba napasa yun ay hindi na ako makakapag enrol sa program? i absolutely have no background sa accounting and calculus, what i have is only the basic algebra which i took in college 8 years ago
