    My|Phone (Pinoy Phone) Thread

My|Phone – the first and only Filipino mobile phone brand that offers dual SIM mobility – grew from a favor for friends to try out a local mobile phone brand in an attempt to join the playing field of established international giants. Three years down the line, My|Phone has proven to be a definitive contender in the Philippine mobile phone landscape, consistently averaging significant sales figures. The response has driven My|Phone to continuously strive to develop better phones at much affordable prices.

-- sun cellular offers this kinds of unit for postpaid subscribers

What a coincidence! I was just wondering about this
Any feedback out there? Is this a good buy or not? I heard the other brands (etouch in particular) are not as user-friendly.
I'm particularly interested in the QTV20, tv and duo sim.
Basically just need it for calls, occasional text and the tv when Im on the road stuck in traffic

For SUN subscribers: Is the duo phone locked to Sun sims?

I purchased the QTV20 Dual-SIM QWERTY MyPhone last Sept. 30, 2010 at P2,890 after I lost a day before my Dual SIM China Phone bought a year earlier (Sept. 2009). Anyway, I was really planning to replace it since I was not really satisfied with the poor performance of Dual-SIM China Phone!

Got the Black unit at mukhang OK naman at much better than the lost Dual-SIM China Phone. Mas malinaw ang TV at has more features at mas matagal life ang battery (abt. 2-3 days). Unit came w/ CD (Pinoy Phone Contents), the contents of which should transferred to a 4GB MicroSD (which I bought separately) to enjoy full features of the Phone. Gawang Pinoy na talagang pang-Pinoy!!!

ang sabi based sa mga reviews when it is 6pm or 6am or 3pm, a prompter will display and say “Angelus” or “3 o’clock Prayer”... astig!

^Hi! Are you a Sun subscriber? Papano pag-dual sim phones, naka-lock lang ba ito for Sun sim? Sensya na kung medyo out of topic, di ko mahanap ang Sun cellular thread.

How is the user interface of the phone? Is it easy to use?

  7. #7
yung isang sim slot locked sa sun yung isa openline

^finally bought the qtv20 directly from MyPhone when they had their one day sale a week ago it's a no-frills, basic dual-sim phone which i found easy to use. interface is intuitive and fast. it's a cp with tv as added bonus if u need a 2nd phone for basic needs, this is the phone to get

    anyone using MyPhone QW28???

gusto ko sana bumili pero nagaalangan ako....

    meron ba review???

  10. #10
I've had mine for over a year now and I have to say Im pretty happy with it. Mura, may TV, dual-sim (that works pretty well), at matibay (ilang beses ko na nabagsak).

My unit it old so the newer ones may have improved pero ang biggest downside nung sa akin is wala siyang car charger.

but dont just rely on this review or comments, magtanong din kayo sa iba...or kung maari ipa-demonstrate nyo sa MyPhone sales clerk mismo yung wifi

just got my TW1 Duo ngayon.. I'll give my comment tomorrow tungkol sa battery life..

  17. #17
It's already been 24 hours since i bought my TW1 Duo

For the battery life, nagulat ako kasi after heavy usage (Wifi, games, music, radio, 2 sims active, texting and 30min call) hindi parin siya nalolowbat .. So for me ok ang battery life niya

Sa price ayos din dahil mura siya, nabili ko siya kahapon for only 3,690..

Yung camera niya is 3.2mp without flash.. Ok naman yung mga picture outdoors and indoors as long na it is well lighted.. medyo madilim kasi ang kuha kapag indoor..

Sound quality maganda din, siguro dahil yun sa Wow HD feature ng phone for the sound..

Screen size, pareho ng samsung 525, so sa accessories fit sa TW1 yung screen protector & case ng samsung 525 .. responsiveness ng screen 4/5..

Wifi connectivity, mabilis siya (depends on your inet speed).. hindi nga lang pwede mag youtube using the built in opera pero that's not a problem at all kasi meron siyang app for youtube streaming.. pwede mo din lagyan ng latest opera and bolt browser na pwedeng magstream ng youtube videos

Meron narin siyang ebook reader, good for all addict readers out there

The best sa lahat, meron siyang everyday prayer, angelus, & 3 o'clock prayer hehe..

Below is the features and specifications ng phone:

Type: Dual SIM Full Touch Phone
Data Connection: GSM / EDGE / GPRS Class 12
    Frequency Range: 900/1800/1900MHz
Display: 3.2“ 240X400 pixels full touch screen (resistive)

Ringing Melody: MP3, True Tones, MIDI, WAV
Applications: Java, Google search, MSN, Yahoo messenger, Gtalk, Opera mini, Facebook, Twitter, Games, World Clock, Health, Stopwatch, E-book reader
Connectivity: WIFI / Bluetooth / micro USB 2.0/ 3.5mm jack
    Imaging: 3.2 Mega pixels
    Phonebook: 1000 entries
Card slot: microSD (TransFlash) up to 8GB

    Weight: 100g
    Dimensions: 111x54x13.2mm
    Talk/Standby Time:
Battery: Standard battery, Li-Ion 1000 mAh
Others: MP3/MP4 player, Yamaha amplifier, Sound recorder, Stereo FM radio, SRS WOW HD
    Accessories: Stereo Headset, USB Cable

For me it's worth the buy if you're not into smartphones ha..

I'm just wondering kung bakit parang ang baba ng tingin ng iba sa myphone, after using it for a day, I can say that it is indeed a very good phone for its price..

  18. #18
Are they really made in the Philippines?

Or are they just branded Philippine made and just some generic china phones being sent here?

if they are really made or assembled in the philippines, where is their assembly plant/factory?

Which is weird kasi among the known "triumvirate" of china phones mas maganda di hamak ang way ng pagpapatakbo ng MyPhone sa business nila. I don't get the hate.

-Hindi sila basta naglalabas ng mga units.
-They are veering away from copy cat units.

:/ I mean I wanna be proud to be a Filipino and all, pero sana wag naman at the back. Kahit default wallpaper na lang sana or whatever.

I'm eyeing the QW29 saka yung BM1 to replace my frustration inducing Cherry Mobile phone. (Naglalag pag mahaba na yung text message, I mean what the fudge?!)
