    Itanong mo sa Dean nyo! The National Science and Engineering complexes came to be because of the VISIONS of the respective deans of Science and Engineering. Sila ay naghahanap ng paraan para mapabuti ang kanilang kolehiyo. NCS came to be because of Dean Saloma's proposal to the Arroyo administration to speed up scientific development in the country in line with PGMA's medium term plans. The same can be said of NEC thru ERDT.

    Masipag at MAPAMARAAN ang deans ng Science at Engineering di tulad ng Dean nyo na puro ngawngaw lang sa kalye kasi LEFTIST! Umaasa lang sa SUSTENTO ng gobyerno kesyo daw State U.

    Walang mangyayaring maganda sa kolehiyo nyo kung ganyan lang na puro ASA at puro KATIBAKAN.

    Grabe ka naman! Karapatan naman ng dean nila na iboses kung ano sa tingin niya ang makabubuti para sa Pilipinas. Hindi ako naniniwala sa sosyalismo pero sana igalang natin yung stand ng mga tibak at ng mga leftists.

    @OnT

    Kudos to CS and Engg for the new buildings. Excited na kong makita kung anong meron dun sa bagong bldg. ng EEE. Power Systems stuff, aight? Kaso pang EE lang yun.

    New UP campus in Koronadal City nears completion

    The University of the Philippines (UP) will finally open within the next two weeks its newly-established School of Health Sciences (SHS) extension campus in nearby Koronadal City.

    Generosa Capundan, acting South Cotabato provincial engineer, said Thursday the main building of the new UP campus in Barangay Carpenter Hill in Koronadal is now almost complete and would be opened in time for the start of school year 2011-2012.

    She said the provincial government of South Cotabato has spent some P7.5 million for the construction of the two-storey and six-classroom main building project as well as the UP Oblation landmark of the campus.

    Capundan said that for the school opening, the UP-SHS will occupy three rooms for its classes and the other three rooms as faculty and administrative offices.

    She said the formal inauguration of the new UP-SHS campus is set on July 19.

    The UP-SHS extension unit, which initially utilized the training hall and dormitory of the Provincial Scion Grove Research and Demo Farm in Barangay Reyes in Banga town, started its operations last year with at least 34 scholars.

    Prof. Amabel Ganzo, UP-SHS campus director, said they are targeting to enlist some 70 new scholars, mostly coming from this city and various parts of South Cotabato, this school year for their midwifery, nursing and medicine programs.

    She added that they earlier opened some 20 slots for prospective scholars from nearby provinces of Sarangani, North Cotabato and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
