Official Battlefield 3 Discussion Thread!

I rather want to see more on Multi-player than Single-player trailer , Battlefield game series s all about squad or team-based infantry combat and real strategy shooting with emphasis on piloting a number of vehicles focus on large online multiplayer battles. Fingers crossed on the multiplayer mode, really pleased that this game is PC based so we have the best long distance visuals and some nice high resolution game play, this will be a console fail. Been waiting for years, I hope we're not disappointed.

If I remember correctly walang campaign yung Battlefield 2? O yung nilaro ko lang talaga yung with AI?

Multiplayer yung strongest asset ng Battlefield 3 and kelan na ba tayo binigo ng Dice? The long wait must mean something good. Judging by the vid, I'm impressed.

I dont think my Dual Core'd, 8G RAM, 1G ATi 5770 PC can handle it. I'm thinking of upgrading my GPU to atleast 5800s to accomodate it.

yup walang campaign single and multiplayer lang sa single player puro bot kalaban. I read DICE won't carry commander on BF3 anymore

i used to play BF 1942 and BF2 a lot back in the days, specially on LAN shops, it was a BLAST, hirap controllin ng mga jets hehe. I never really liked the recent FPS MP, even Bad Company 2.
And yeah BF2 doesnt have campaign, MP only. 32 players i think.

Frostbite engine is native DX11, no DX9 so Windows XP users and video cards prior to GeForce 400 series and Radeon HD 5000 series wont be able to play it. They would have to port it and scale down for the DX9 based consoles to play it.

I hope its more GPU bound hehe, i have a weak processor but using a GTX 460

^uu mahirap talaga controllin yung jets pag keyboard lang...sarap magdogfight pagjoystick gamit, I remember one time raping USMC aircraft carrier along with J-10 jet strafing run attack + popping flares + dropping 2 bombs = 15 kills hehehe nakatsamba! lahat kasi nagkacamp sa carrier para sa F22 raptor ..hayy miss those days

Yung Commander sa BF2 is nagco-coordinate kung saan ilalagay ang assets ng team. For example, yung squad leader ng team 1 may request for a supply drop sa position nila, yung Commander ang bahala dun. O kaya kung kelangan ng Artillery strike, pwedeng mag request sa commander tapos yung commander ang maglalagay kung saan babagsak yung tira ng mga kanyon. Isa sa mga important na kelangang gawin ng team eh yung pag spot kung nasaan ang kalaban para aware ang commander kung saan nya i-dedeploy ang UAV para yung buong team ay may idea kung nasaan ang mga kalaban.

Kapag Commander ang role mo, usually frowned upon kung nakikipaglaban ka at the same time. Pag Commander ka, maghanap ka ng matataguan para mag direct ng assets.

2005 merung demo ng bf2 sa pldtplay gulf of oman 32 slots parating full yung server . ideal talaga na merung commander sa bf2 atleast makafocus yung squad nyo sa isang objective.

It's really shaping up to be the next gen in FPS with the Frosbite 2 engine.

I bet that whoever's handling MW3 is scrambling to get something going to stall Dice's momentum.

The fact that EA decided to release the game late this year instead of the "safer" release date around summer is a testament on how much faith they're putting on this game.

Everything's hedging on how the Multiplayer mode will look like.

Well that was short and boring. GDC Leaked video shows much more. Okay visually it looks awesome but this is why I hate SP in most shooters story lines like this are just stupid and scripted anyway thanks for the update vid bro.

100% sure ako that DICE team got their inspiration from this scene no doubt.

This game might be the one to pull me back into gaming. I have taken a few years off. But after watching some of the teasers here and youtube, all of my former "battlefield moment" memories are rushing back. This game looks like its gonna be EPIC!

BF3 will shake the foundations of every console and every gamer. When you stem on this battlefield prepare to have the DICE roll in your favor.

Agree this IS my game of the year pick already no doubt! and I can't wait to lose sleep and my social life playing it. Thank you BF team for once again creating an epic game. Battlefield 3 us going to totally own. Gorgeous graphics, incredible destruction, realistic weaponry...it's got it all. There is no other team out there that can simulate war like the BF tram can. Some FPS games looks like child's play compared to this.
