Hi dun s mga nggroup discussions penge naman po ng idea.. sobrang complex ba ng topic nila? individual ba ang grading.. how about the technical exam mahirap po ba.. kelangan q po b mgreview n gnotes q nung college or balikan *** projects nun..
ilang day/s? kaya malalaman *** result kapag nainterview???
I want more people to pass the hiring stages so here is the whole process. Everything (except JO perhaps) happens in 2 days:
Day 1 (duration: 1 hour):
1st step - employment exam (sorta IQ test, relatively easy compared to other tech firms)
- Results will be known almost immediately. For our batch we were immediately notified that we passed the exam in less than an hour and we were summoned back to the office the next working day (I had my exam on a Fri, called back for Mon).
Day 2 (duration: prepare at least half a day, everything will happen fast):
2nd step - Group Discussion.
Tama ang hula ko: you'll be using your english skills. You'll be talking to your co-apps about a particular topic given by the panel interviewers. No preparation needed (well, if you're having a hard time with your English skills, better polish them up a little). I think we'll be graded individually on this one.
My two cents on why they do this: SBOS was a UK-based tech firm. And in UK (at least acc. to my research), business meetings are frequent and often they are done unprepared for the purpose of open-debate discussions.
After this, we were asked to wait and be called for the fit and tech interviews (yes, all in the same day, saves us all from the trouble of getting back and forth).
3rd and 4th step (in our batch's case - no particular order, whichever interviewer comes first will lead you to a room): Fit and Technical Interview
- Both are panel interviews (2 persons/interview).
- Fit Interview: mostly situational questions. they will either ask for a previous experience or an action you'll take given a hypothetical situation. Very easy if you've been to a lot of interviews of this kind.
- Technical Interview: for our case (fresh grads and career shifters), no amount of experience is necessary. You just have to show your aptitude and interest in IT. They will also slip in some behavioral interview questions along the way.
- Results are given in at most a week after the interview. *Still waiting*
Day 3 perhaps is the Job Offer Day.

@masshyako: I think we've seen each other. hehe. Marami kasing tao kanina sa lobby eh. At most one week daw ang result.
Tip for any interview in any company: Nail the deadliest deadline and quit the waiting game.

@marc_rendl...are you done with your interview???
@masshyako:
