I just can't help but cringe at the sight of this. FYI lang - PLURAL NA ANG FRESHMEN. No need to add an "s" to it.

It might be a small thing, but it matters a lot.

I have a few questions.. actually questions to from the students sa academic fanpage [its not a review center, tied to sa free information site] i'm managing [www.facebook.com/academicclinic] na hindi ko nasagot, ha ha.. would appreciate it much if you guys could help me out.

1. tumatanggap ba ng non-catholics ang UST?
2. if yes, tumatanggap ba sila ng non-catholics for their scholarships?
3. how exactly do you go about sa pagpasa ng appeal for reconsideration? what are the factors they consider?
4. what goes in sa appeal for reconsideration letter? is there a format you can suggest?
5. what if ustet passer ka and you want to get into another course [hindi yung pinasahan mo]? halimbawa you passed pharmacy and you want to enroll in BS Bio instead.. pwede ba to?

Currently at the Carpark eating. I just want to report what happened in our appeal in the Faculty of Engineering Dean's Office.

> The secretary STRONGLY ADVISED though that we prioritize the courses I chose (BS IS and AP) in the Academic Placement. He said that I must reserve a slot on this course to AT LEAST assure my slot in UST, rather than depend on our reconsideration appeal, which will be the least prioritized.
> The good news is that after I reserved a slot in BS IS of the faculty, I can make an appeal to change my course during the CONFIRMATION date that will be given after my reservation between March 28-31.


I felt better after hearing this. Now, all I got to do is to be the earliest to go on March 28 to reserve my slot, wait for the confirmation date, and appeal on my chosen course, which is Elec. Eng'g, on that date. And of course, prepare well for the interview if ever.

Any advice guys? I would love to hear it.

P.S. Appeals for Reconsideration will only be opened on the month of MAY. So more likely, it will be hard to solely depend on it.

One important thing you must not forget is actually to pray that on your report date, there is still a remaining slot for you after those who passed and interested wait-listed applicants have confirmed theirs. If it's meant, it will be.

Pag nakareserve ka na sa isang program tapos naapprove rin yung isang program mo eh gusto mo lumipat sa pangalawa. mag transfer credentials ka. ililipat lahat ng pinasa mo sa isang kolehiyo papunta sa isa kolehiyo.

HS grades! kelangan sa Faculty of Pharmacy pag nagrereconsider. may schedule silang binibigay ng pasahan ng letter for recon, ustet result, HS grades, tapos pababalikin ka kung tanggap ka nila at iinterviewhin ka dala yung original HS Card mo.

basta simple lang yun letter mo okay na. naka address sa dean or representative.

pag natanggap ka for interview. natapos mo na ang 50% para makapasok ka. so 50% more. haha

eh sa college of science madali bang mareconsider.. i went to ust yesterday.. and the secretary of the dean told me to pass the letter as early as possible xD medyo close na nga kme jk lol haha.

Yeah. Because, UST is my dream school since I was a kid. And I won't let this opportunity pass, so I'm giving my all for it.

By the way, was about to post that Information Systems has very few passers and wait-listed. As far as I can remember, only 60 and above passed it for their first choice, 30 to 50 for their second choice, and not more than 80 for both 1st and 2nd choice wait-listed. I hope this data I gathered is enough proof that my reservation for that course, just to assure a slot in UST, is still available by March 28.

And as an aspiring EE student, I looked at the list of passers in front of the Roque Ruaño building earlier and found out that:

a. only 86 passed EE as their first choice
b. 57 for 1st choice - wait-listed
c. 55 for 2nd choice - passed, and
d. 153 for 2nd choice - wait-listed

Do you think slots will still be available after the confirmation date? Kasi po, the secretary at the dean's office told me that after I reserved a slot sa IS, I can do the shifting of course through an appeal during the confirmation and sectioning, which is slated in another date.

(Sorry po if I have to post the numbers, gusto ko lang po kasing malaman 'yung chance ko po. Kung bawal po sabihin dito, ie-edit ko nalang po.)

Sinabi din po sa amin ito nung nakausap namin in both CoS and FoE.

With the College of Science having the earlier reservation date for Academic Placement, sinuggest po nila na magpa-reserve nalang muna ako doon (kasi BS Applied Physics ang second marked course ko). Then, pwede daw ma-credit 'yung reservation fee na binayad ko doon kapag nagpa-shift na ako ng course sa Faculty of Engineering, which is EE.

I hope I can do this!
