It has been observed that our subforum has been inundated by a lot of threads that concern the USTET. Let this be the proper and ONLY thread about USTET-related concerns and inquiries. It does get confusing (and annoying) when you see so many threads that essentially ask the same questions. Thank you.

As the first question in this thread (sorry if it is still about reconsideration), can someone clear to me the needed requirements for reconsideration?

1st to 3rd year grades po ba with 4th year grades from 1st to 3rd quarter ang kailangan?

By the way, may nakapagsabi po sa akin (her brother is a Thomasian student) na it is possible to shift to another course without spending an extra year in college.

Ang kwento niya sa akin, kung 'yung kukuhanin kong course at ang desired course ko ay nasa iisang faculty/college lang, mas maganda daw na hintayin ko nalang na mag-3rd year ako then doon ako mag-shift. Kasi daw, hindi naman daw halos magkakaiba 'yung tinuturo during the the first two years.

It's possible if it's under the same faculty or college, i.e from PT to OT (CRS), since parehas lang naman ang subjects ng PT and OT sa first year, hindi mo na kailangan pa bumalik ng 1st year dahil credited naman na lahat yun. AFAIK, parehas lang din ng subjects ang first 2 years ng engineering programs except siguro sa ChE.

Pwede po ba na magpapalit ng course ang mga wait-listed? I.E. Waitlisted ako sa Psychology and I would like to pursue a degree in Biology which is in the same college naman. Pumunta ako kanina and sabi nila is mag-submit ako ng letter for reconsideration sa dean ng college of science, eh diba para yun sa mga hindi nag-qualify? Eh change of course lang naman yung gusto ko eh

^Dun sa nagtanong kung ano requirements sa recon, sabi sakin nung secretary yata ng dean yun, you need a photocopy of your 4th year report card even if it's from 1st-3rd quarter only and a photocopy of your USTET Result (the one that was mailed), and of course your letter to the dean Hope this helps

@Chaos- Hindi ako pumasa sa Bio pero wait-listed ako sa Psychology. Gusto ko sana papalitan since nabasa ko sa ibang threads na pwede yun basta pasok ka sa cut-off ng program.

@YoonJay- Yun lang yung sabi sakin nung secreatry ng dean. Sa College of Science yan, malay mo mag-vary siya sa different colleges and faculty. Much better if you call them personally

Uhm sabi po sakin nung nagparecon ako.. There are two rules this year: no shifters and no transferees. Pero pwede po magparecon afaik, kasi for interview na po ako.

Ask ko lang po (sorry kung na ask na to dati).. Anu-ano po ba mga itatanong nila sa interview? Kabado na po kasi ako last shot ko na to

Tomoooo. Thanks for your opinion, appreciate it. But I think it may be hard for me to be accepted in those courses because of the fact that they are quota courses and many students are really vying for a slot in those programs. So I'll prefer Biology nalang

Goodafternoon po. pwede po magtanong. di ko po alam gagawin ko. dun po kasi sa snail mail na pinadala sa school eh isa lang yung result na nakalagay which is yung 1st choice ko na "Accountancy" (did not qualify) tapos yung 2nd choice ko na management accounting wala. tapos, chineck ko sa website ng UST. 1st choice ko lang din po nakalagay. yung pangalawa wala nanaman po. HELP NAMN. =))
