Hello! Ginawa ko lang thread na to kasi wala akong makita sa search function na ateneo law school thread..

or kung meron man pasensya na sa pagiging redundant!

matanong ko lang po sa mga may alam sa law school ng admu (law students, law grads, students still studying in ateneo undergrad), mataas po ba ang attrition rate ng ateneo? gaano po kadami ang tinatanggap nilang examinees kada taon? paano po ang aral sa law school ng ateneo? at marami pa po akong tanong kaso hindi ko na maalala, salamat po sa mga mag rereply..

I don't know how many people take the entrance exams, but Ateneo Law accepts around 250 freshmen every year. The 250 freshies are divided into 5 blocks: 3 afternoon blocks and 2 evening blocks. There are around 50 students per block.

Ateneo Law is NOTORIOUS for kicking out its students. Out of 250 freshmen, only around 100-150 graduate every year.

^expect it to be out by march for interview. April lalabas yung final results.

when will the results of dec.11 ALS ET be released?

and uhm. nadelete na ata yung Ateneo Law School Thread before, i'm searching for it too, and wala na. So sad, dami pa naman tips dun. :'(

All results will be out on the first of April. Sometimes, they release it a few hours before 12am, so always check the ALS website a day before April 1. There will be two lists, one for admission and one for interview.

The final result for those who got interviewed are usually released third week of April.

^^ wala pong math nung nag exam ako.. puro reading reading analysis. daya nga eh sa san beda law may math

Hindi sila alanganin. Usually kasi 150-160 yung ipinapasa nila na walang interview. Around 100 yung kailangan na may interview pa. Hindi ko rin talaga alam kung bakit. Usually naman kapag nasa law school na, pantay pantay na kayo. May mga times nga na mas magagaling pa yung may interview muna before admission kumpara dun sa pasado agad.

Tungkol sa recommendation letter, hindi naman sya ganon kabigat kasi naalala ko wala akong ipinasa na recommendation letter pero pumasa pa rin ako. Pero magpasa ka pa rin kasi big factor sya para dun sa mga for interview pa.

Yung exam, wala siyang Math part. Pero madugo yung second part ng exam, puro logic.

1. It *is* hard to pass, pero compared to UP Law, mas mahirap pumasa ng LAE kasi mas maraming nag-eexam. From what I know, around 800-1500 lang ang nag-apply sa Ateneo Law. Then 250 lang yung kukunin nila. Then out of that 250, only 100-120 lang ang nakakagraduate.

2. Yes, madaming nag-drodrop first week pa lang. Dahil yan sa Intro To Law ni Dean Roy na talagang terror kung terror. Bibigyan ka ng isang bundok na cases for one week then talagang sisigawan ka kapag di ka nakasagot. Yung tipo ng sigaw na iiyak ka na lang sa tabi iisipin mo na lang na ang bobo bobo mo. Take note, isang room lang kayo ng batchmates mo so pahiya kung pahiya.

haha kahit saang top tier law school, ganyan pag first week. Tatambakan ka talaga ng ridiculous amount of cases to read tapos todo sermon even in the smallest of things.

They do this daw to weed out students that aren't determined to study law, and to shoot down any existing false egos of the freshmen (marami kasing mayabang pag first year).

Tips lang:

1. Before entering law, be open to the idea that you might finish your law studies in another university or you might not finish it at all. Maraming nasisipa, its the truth. If you're putting all your eggs on the expectation that you will definitely graduate from ALS, baka madisappoint lang kayo sobra pag naboot out. Just do your best.

2. Huwag personalin ang mockery ng profs especially yung mga personalan na at hindi academic. Isipin mo na lang na naglalabas lang ng sama ng loob ang professor sa frustrations niya sa buhay niya sa iyo

3. Huwag mayabang pag pasok sa ALS. Mas maganda nang kusang maging humble, kaysa sa professors mo ang magpahumble sayo.

Wala pa akong recommendations, and tatawagan ba talaga yung mga nag recommend sa iyo? Hindi kasi kami ganun ka-close nung pinarecommendan ko eh. Baka macall out lang yung sort of bluff ko. Haaay. Deadline na daw bukas. Damn.

may mga 'average' students ba na nagsusurvive sa ateneo law school? kasi marami ako naririnig (at napatunayan ko na) na mas nag eedge yung mga saktong studyante lang kaysa dun sa mga cum laude's (sa batch namin may isang cum laude di nakapasa sa law school, pero may saktong studyante lang pumasa.).

may mga 'average' students ba na nagsusurvive sa ateneo law school? kasi marami ako naririnig (at napatunayan ko na) na mas nag eedge yung mga saktong studyante lang kaysa dun sa mga cum laude's (sa batch namin may isang cum laude di nakapasa sa law school, pero may saktong studyante lang pumasa.).

Sino naman nagsabi sayo niyan? Everyone is given the same opportunity to excel.

The reality is, there are average students who excel, there are average students who study to the extreme but get kicked out. There are smart students who excel, there are also smart students who get kicked out.

Circumstances are different for each person, because we are all different in the first place. We have different IQs, different study habits, different degrees of interest in the subject matter etc.


Stop getting paranoid because you really won't know your capabilities until you enroll in law school.
