Lightbulb Pinas wedding requirements if already married in the U.S.

    tatanong ko lang sana.

ang plano namin, my husband-to-be and i are getting married civilly sa U.S. and then in four months we'll be going to the Philippines para naman sa catholic church wedding namin.

my husband-to-be is a non-catholic u.s. citizen and has no intention of converting to catholic. i heard pede nang pakasal sa catholic church kahit mixed religion ang hindi ko lang alam ano ang requirements. like, meron pa rin bang pre-wedding seminar, etc.

sa applying a wedding license naman kelangan pa rin ba namin yung

    - certificate of legal capacity (for my foreigner husband-to-be)
    - certificate of singleness (for me)

kahit na kasal na kami sa u.s.?

baka may website kayo alam na i could read on about this. or baka na-experience or may friend kayong na-experience to kwento nyo dito ha.

    Hi girls!

I made quick online search & founded out that it is best that you report to NSO that you are married & not show up as if both of you are still single. What happen is that you will have a 'ceremony'. Yes, the catholic church accepts these kind of set up, but I would suggests to ask directly to the church where you plan to held the ceremony (also explain your situation) -- or ask your relative or dear friend of yours to do the asking if its not possible for you.

I found these links dated 2008 and 2009. So yes, talk to the church directly so you get the updated needed requirements (incase there is additional requirements now).

Good luck & hope it helps!
