Kaz Hirai can talk all he wants but he can't change the fact that PS Vita sales in Japan are way, way behind Nintendo 3DS in the recent sales report.
3DS 91,868
PSVita 10,583

Is an early price cut looming in the distance? Nintendo bit the bullet with last year's early 3DS price cut.
Mr. Hirai has a point. Software is the key to PS Vita's success. Kahit gaano pa ka ganda ang hardware ng PS Vita, people won't buy it if they don't like the games.
If they release big name games like Monster Hunter in Japan, it will definitely increase the sales of PS Vita. This holds true for PSP which saw an significant boost in sales after releases of Monster Hunter games.
A certain Sony fanatic who owns a local game store boldly predicted that PS Vita would sell big and outsell not just 3DS but also tablets and smartphones with "powerhouse, high-tech features" alone. He also predicted that the lack of games would be no problem as the features alone are "compelling"
Did anyone here buy a PS Vita WITHOUT any games at all?
hahantayin ko maglabas ng monster hunter portable 3rd us version..saka ako bibili ng psp vita..
thats it! Sony japan has to do something NOW, it already contradicts what Hirai said on my post.

halos lahat ng tao dito hinihintay magka MH sa Vita, that it can save the sales of Vita.
pero exclusive kasi sa 3DS for now yung MH4 and already release na sa japan yung MH3G.
so 'tong mga taong to, mga 3 years or more pa malamang bumilii ng Vita, e kung ganun ang mindset ng mga tao, wala talagang hardware sales.![]()

Is the PS Vita a better video player compared to the PC or the iPad and other tablets?
And for me enough na yung PSV titles na lalabas this year.. persona 4 pa lang good for 2 to 4 months na eh..
Di pa kasi tuluyang inabandona ng mga game developers sa Japan ang PSP kaya kaunti lang ang games sa PS Vita.
agree with this ^
if the psp was also stopped and everything was transitioned to the VITA, would have been all over already IMHO.
example is try selling Resident Revelations sa orig SRP price ng 3DS na $249.. malamang yung sale ng software is hindi papalo ng sobrang taas kumpara ngayon na nasa $179.. pwede pa rin bumenta ng madami kahit nasa 250 ang 3DS pero not kasing dami kapag nasa 170.. and kahit nasa 250 it can move 3DS hardware pero hindi rin ganun kadami..
sa PSV lalabas na yung P4tG sa Japan next month and expected na it will sell well.. pero kung nasa $170 lang din sana ang PSV expect na magiging massive ang software and hardware sales dahil sa mas malaki na ang market ng tao na can afford bumili ng system at $170..
^my point is..console is just a rock without great games installed on it..are you going to buy a tv and just wait a couple of months to have a channel..psv is doomed to be obsolete..bakit pa kailangan magrelease ng psp vita..?..
lol.. di ko ma gets yung analogy about TV kasi kapag bumili ka naman ng TV eh sandamakmak na agad yung channel unless surplus from Japan yung bibilhin na TV..
and again.. madami ng great games/franchise ang announced for PSV.. wait ka na lang sa release date.. pero if you hate the PSV so much then it's your choice not to get one.. and obvious naman kung sino mga haters dito.. masyadong fixated sa weekly sales chart sa Japan kahit madaming balita na lumalabas about sa mga new games na lalabas and games from japan na maiimport sa US..
I just wanna play games, just so happens there is the VITA and its current games kung may dadating very good.
Anyways..ask ko lang...kamusta po exp. nyo with MODNATION? is it easy to drive and abit like mario kart? Thanks!
