Youtube in your PEx? Its more likely than you think!

Along with the new design, we also have a new feature and am excited to let everyone know about this !

PExers can now embed Youtube videos in their posts by using the [ video ] tag !

Below are the instructions on how to include videos in your post:

Lets have this video as an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFiyeOCBXaE

1) Copy the URL of the youtube video.

2) Separate the video code from the URL. It is usually the string of random characters after the '=' sign of the URL.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFiyeOCBXaE

3) Take out the other characters before the video code like the one below:

http://www.youtube.com/[b]ZFiyeOCBXaE[/b[

4) Include v/ before the video codelike the one below:

http://www.youtube.com/v/ZFiyeOCBXaE

5) Your URL should look something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/v/ZFiyeOCBXaE

6) Place the URL in between [ video ] tag

[ video ]http://www.youtube.com/v/ZFiyeOCBXaE[ / video]

Remove the spaces from the tags on posting

protip: use the [noparse][/noparse] tags to do the tutorial so you don't have to tell them to remove the spaces

Hmmm how about adding a video icon sa tabi ng image icon when replying? Para mas madali na lang pag embed ng video.

We are currently looking at ways to make embedding easier but putting a video icon might not make things easier for now as we are concentrating on copying and pasting the link directly. Once the link can be displayed without editing, then we can use an icon Mabilis na lang yun if ever
