    Doc, ano ang mga dahilan para sa tonsillectomy?

  4. #144
    There are relatively a lot of reasons why a doctor would advice a tonsilectomy. common reasons are frequent infections (tonsilitis) and having large than usual tonsils

    Recurrent tonsilitis specially when untreated can lead to Rheumatic heart disease hence tonsilectomy is advised

    Having large tonsils on the other hand could lead to sleep apnea, snoring, which in the long run can lead to memory loss, mood disturbances, daytime sleepiness hence also a tonsilectomy

    doc, gud pm. may i ask you something, i'm having left chest pain, na para bang tinutusok then lumilipat sya minsan nasa upper, minsan nasa lower then sa side near armpit... i'm not experiencing short of breath.. basta nararamdaman ko sya, since last week pero minsan lang sya sumasakit, for about 2 minutes then nawawala.. may question is.. is it related to any heart disease or something?

  6. #146

    Doc,

    I've been taking prednisone for the past 6 months and one of the worst side effects on me based on lab results is elevated SGPT.

    How can I lower my SGPT level Doc? I have not been eating oily/fatty foods for the past 2 weeks, yet recent lab results show no improvement.

    Thanks Doc.

    hi doc.. last saturday kasi bigla nanikip dibdib ni bf at hindi nakahinga so tinakbo sa veterans hospital. electrocardiogram was done and normal naman daw result. sabi din ng doctor hindi na siya magpapatake ng any laboratory test since 29 lang si bf at yun nga normal ecg niya. bale ang gusto niya magundergo si bf ng 2d echo saka thyroid test. para san po ba yun? bf waas diagnosed with hpn sept2010. been taking losartan for maintenance.. then serc for his vertigo. nasabi ko rin po pala na ilang beses na siya nagundergo ng mga test including ct scan yet normal mga results. he lose weight sobra pero nagdiet siya. natural way.

  11. #151
    @spidey
    Sad to say as long as your taking medications specially steroids, its is quite normal for your liver enzymes to elevate.. as long as hindi sya twice elevated you have nothing to worry about.. what you can do as to not make it shoot up even more, is eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, avoid smoking and alcoholic beverages, and you can also take godex or the likes vitamin E also helps.. but this will only help and as long as your taking medication its expected to elevate

  12. #152
    @fab_gal
    If ECG was normal then most prob it wasnt a heart attack.. anyway 2d ECho;s are used to determine any valvular problems in the heart which could cause the said pain, while thyroid funciton test is to detect hyper or hypothyroidism.. they could all present with chest pain but its unlikely.. first time *** ba mangyari? what was given in the ER? was it relieved with pain medications?

    Lower back pain with Leg Pain

    Hi Doc,

    Im female po pala and 25 years old. Almost more than one week ko na kasi nararamdaman to. May sumasakit na portion sa right side sa lower back ko then connected rin sa right leg ko, sa may tuhod yung point ng sakit tapos minsan connected pa pababa. Yung sakit hindi naman grabe, yung parang nangangalay. I guess nerve pain siya? May times pag gabi, bago ko matulog, madalas ako maihi, nakakailang bangon ako mga 3 to 5 times. Minsan, feeling ko lang na parang naiihi ako pero wala naman lumalabas. Parang may kinalaman din yun sa pagsakit ng likod ko. Kasi mas feel ko yung nararamdaman ko sa likod pag naiihi ako.

    Nung time na maulan at malamig yung panahon (mga 2 or 3 weeks ago) yun yung time na madalas ako maiihi pag gabi, inisip ko baka dahil lang malamig kaya ganun. After ilang days nun, dun na nagstart yung pagsakit ng likod ko including yung paa ko (pero right side lang), at halos 1 week na ganito condition ko. Everyday hindi na nawawala yung sakit sa likod.

    Naexperience ko na po pala ito dati mga 5 or 6 years ago, nagpacheck-up ako pero wala naman nakita sa ultrasound at urinalysis, nawala na lang siya pagkatapos ng ilang buwan, hindi ko alam kung paano nawala. Ngayon naexperience ko na naman.

    Possible po ba na ano yung condition ko ngayon? Pano po ba mawawala yun? Help naman po Doc, sana masagot niyo ako at mabigyan ng advise.

    Thanks a lot!

    Doc, medyo madami po ako itatanung,

    Una po, kasi nag pa Heba B Surface Antigen po ako, result po ay REACTIVE, anu po ba dapat ko gawin? actually matagal ko na kasi napansin na medyo madilaw na mata ko. Anu po dapat ko gawin? Pero mula pa nun wala naman ako iba nararamdaman sa katawan ko po. Nabasa ko nadin na wala na cure sa ganito pero may dapat daw inumin o kainin para daw di mauwi sa liver cancer totoo po ba yun? anu2 po yung iinumin o kakainun? saka paano po kung mag asawa ako mahahawa po ba sila o di po basta naka pag pa VACCINE? Anu2 po ba dapat ang iVACCINE? Saka mag kano po ba VACCINE po? San po pala CLINIC ninyo po?

    Dagdag ko po pala, pede pa po ba ako mag ka BABY? or di dahil pag nag BABY mahahawa yun kahit naka pag VACCINE na un GF ko?

    Saka anu po ba yung Healthy Carrier at panu po malalaman if Healthy Carrier

    Pangalawa, napansin ko din po na kapag po halimbawa kumaen ako, kapag uminom po ako tubig after 1hour iilalabas ko agad un at sunod-sunod na yun hanggang maubos yung dami ng ininom ko, sa pagbabasa ko po dahil daw po yun sa mahina yung pelvic floor muscle. Anu po dapat ko gawin?

    Salamat po. God Bless

    a positive HBSAG means youve had previous infections of hepatitis B. If you are currently asymptomatic you could be categorized under chronic inactive hepatitis B

    Regarding on your question on what to do.. its simple just live a healthy lifestlye avoid smoking, alcohol intake and have a a balanced diet and regular exercise.

    You could drink supplements such as liveraide, liverpro etc., You can also take vitamin E and C studies showed that it helps the liver function properly.

    Regarding your wife it would be best to get her vaccinated as soon as possible as there is a risk of infecting her specially when your disease reactivates.

    Regarding vaccines you need.. You can gt a hepatitis A vaccines, and also flu and pneumonia shots to make sure you decrease the chance of using antibiotics or causing stress to your body.

    Once your wife gets vaccinated and she is clear from infection there is no problem with having a baby. They are ususlly screened din naman at the hospital and given proper vacine at birth

    Regarding your water problems wala siya relation sa hep b infection mo If your talking about frequent urination it could be normal, or it could also be signs of other problems such as UTI, kidney stones or even diabetes get it checked once you have free time

    I have a clinic at libertad, pasay it metrohealth family clinic i go there at thrusdays and fridays if your within the area feel free to viist me anytime

    Hope i answered all your query

    @pink angel

    Your symptoms could be muscle pain since its localized in one area and it spontaenously relieved.. ano po ba line of work nyo? how is your health status? active lifestyle or sedentary? how much do you weight right now if you dont mind

    regarding sa pagihi mo.. you could probably get it checked again since 5 years ago pa ang utz and urinalysis mo.. if turns out to be normal again then you could probably have a irritable urethra meaning normal *** sayo na ihi ng ihi

  17. #157
    Thank you for the info Doc!
    Yung work ko po kasi sa bahay lang, online job, so maghapon akong naka-upo sa harap ng PC, then sobrang bihira lang din ako mag-exercise so baka dahil dun yung back pain ko? Then weight ko po pala is 97lbs and height is 4''11..

May concern po ako, i just had my kub ultrasound and urinalysis last thursday and everything is normal thank god. I took those tests as requested ng doc ko kasi last june nagkaron ako ng uti for the 2nd time. 1st time was nung college ako i think early 2000. However, kahapon, mejo constipated po ako, then i had to urinate habang nagcconcentrate ako sa bowel movement ko tapos nagulat ako biglang nagkaron ng two drops of blood. Wala naman pain anywhere or any discomfort. After nun uminom ako madaming tubig para magurinate again and i didnt see any blood. Also doc, last month i noticed blood in my cum and that occured for two days. I asked that too sa urologist who requested for the urinalysis and kub ultrasound. Sabi naman nya it is normal and shud clear up quickly which nangyari nga. However, kahapon po after not releasing for two days, i saw blood again. Tapos may mild pain sa lower back sa bandang waistline. Do u think doc this has something to do wid my prostate and i shud have it checked too?
