It's a north-African Arab dish as far as I know because I ate it with Moroccan, Tunisian and Libyan friends.

i think "katre" serves dishes with couscous. tomas morato area ito. if im not mistaken, dun ako nakakain ng couscous sa pinas.
the best couscous in town, not in a restaurant....we order ours from a synagogue in makati...

You are right. They also sell Shakshuka, Baba ghanush, tabouli, hummus, pita bread and falafel. Mostly Levant cuisine.
