And who complains if majority of the posts there are Angel and JLC? Natural kasi sila ang BIDA dun, and they have most of the airtime most discussions would be about them. Pero ibig sabihin ba, bawal magdiscuss ng ibang characters? Di naman siguro...kung merong highlights yung iba, okay lang din na pag-usapan.

And since puro naman leads ang discussion, dito nagpopost ang fans ni Maricar kasi nga 'MARICAR THREAD' ito. If you don't like her, why bother coming here?

I was doing a twitter search a month ago. I think Christine Reyes said something about Maricar being beautiful. I think she was watching Imortal and it was a spontaneous reaction on her part. I'm not a big fan of Christine Reyes, pero natawa ako kasi within a few minutes, ang daming mga nag-RT or nagtweetback sa kanya with matching: "Si Angel din, di ba?", "Bakit si Angel di mo binanggit?"

Natawa na lang ako kasi, bawal din pala magspontaneous admiration kay Maricar??? Are they really going to hound every person who tweets they like Maricar/Sam? Bawal ba maging maganda sa Imortal? Dapat ba iisa lang ang maganda? Kasi ang daming maganda sa Imortal. Even si Olive (na dressed in ugly manang clothes) ay maganda. The other vampire was maganda. Some of the lobos I saw were maganda. Vivian Velez is manganda, and clarisse has a sexy body. Di mas masaya kung maraming maganda?

From appearing in print ads and TV commercials, Maricar Reyes decided to venture into acting in 2008 via the teleserye I Love Betty La Fea where she played John Lloyd Cruz’s ex-girlfriend. Since then, Maricar has become one of the most visible faces on TV, with the teleseryes Precious Hearts Romances presents Bud Brothers, Lovers in Paris, and Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, and movies And I Love You So, and Miss You Like Crazy.

Now that she has another teleserye, Imortal starring John Lloyd and Angel Locsin, there have been speculations that Maricar is ABS-CBN management’s favorite star. But she told reporters who visited the set of Imortal that she would like to believe that her home network is entrusting her with big projects because she really has the talent. “Sana naman [nabibigyan ako ng mga projects] kasi marunong din akong umarte. Sana, he he he. But you can’t please everybody. I’m praying that I get to prove myself.”

Maricar added that there’s no reason for other Kapamilya stars to be envious of her. She shared that so far everybody she had worked with has been very nice to her. “Maybe I’ve just been very lucky kasi so far ang mga nakakatrabaho ko are so professional, so nice. Wala pa naman akong nami meet na hindi nice.”

Having been named as the Best New Female TV Personality by the PMPC Star Awards, Maricar has so far received encouraging reviews for her acting. She credits this to the directors and actors who inspire her to deliver a raving performance. Maricar also talked about how her Imortal co-stars John Lloyd and Angel are inspiring her to become a better actor. “Nakaka-intimidate sila. Kaya nga kinakabahan pa rin ako every time makakasama ko sila sa eksena. Pero napaka friendly rin nila at very professional. Siguro nakakahawa kasi sila. Kapag nakita mo silang umarte, sila na agad ‘yung mga characters nila. Hindi na sila sina Angel at John Lloyd. Ang galing nila. Sana mahawa ako, ha ha ha!”

The model-turned-actress expressed her excitement that with Imortal, she gets to play a character that is different from the ones she had done before. “Napakasaya ko kasi sa awa ng Diyos na bless na naman ako ng isa pang project. Nakakatuwa rin na kakaiba ito sa mga roles na ginawa ko dati. May pagka kontrabida ako this time kaya medyo mapaglalaruan ko ‘yung character. Isa akong bampira dito, si Samantha. Anak siya ng isang lead vampire.”

The last few lines sounded so...hmm how should I put it? so Maricar? Naiimagine ko na kung pano niya sinabi yung lines na yan. Naku!

I love John Lloyd, super dati pa. He's totally in character and madadala ka talaga sa emotion. That's why I'm thankful and happy that Maricar gets to work with him closehand. It's a challenge kumbaga. It's not good kung lalampa-lampa ka sa acting. You have to step up. So far, she has done well enough.

Parang I want to think that pinapabuntot siya kay JLC to improve her acting skills. To hone your craft, you have to practice with the best diba. It's been four times na noh that she was always with John Lloyd kahit small roles lang pero maganda yung mga confrontation scenes nila. Madrama kaya she always makes it a point to improve and show what she can do. I'm glad that JLC said good things about Maricar. Anong date nga yung interview na yan? Before Imortal started yun right? I love that interview.

Actually di naman instant yung kagandahan ni Maricar eh. Okay so some good genes helped. Pero sabi nya nga sa Preview interview she never had an idea that she is beautiful kasi nung bata sya di naman siya considered maganda...except for some cousins teasing her as 'snow white'. and may mga nakita din akong photos nung highschool sya where she had some hair problems and sa college, prior to her ponds ad, di naman siya isa sa mga crush sa school (marami kasing models sa ateneo).

Kung titingnan mo rin, kahit cute si Kuya Maya, chubby sya. Tapos yung mga kamag-anak na kasama niya sa CDO, medyo chubby din. So what does that mean? Si Maricar malaki ang tendency maging chubby kung papabayaan nya ang katawan niya.

Pero she takes care of herself with exercise, moderate eating, and lots of sleep. Sabi niya before she tries to sleep before 10pm. Pero I guess with the tapings nya ngayon I doubt if she gets to sleep before 10pm some days.

i like that the story of nikki's character and her village is not something na sumulpot lang out of the blue. i like that they want to get their message of no human blood diet to magnus most precious one- sam. nice work writers.

Ang daming kung back read ah & to think ilang oras lang akong offline. Naglalagablab pa dun sa kabila. Buti nalang nandyan ka 24 to defend MR there. Okay naman yung post ng karamihan dun. Some opinions was regarding Imortal as a whole, iba naman complaints. Natatawa nalang ako sa ibang post dun at talagang pinagtutuonan ng pansin yung wardrobe ng mga artista pati na rin exposure. I got a good laugh dun sa nagsabi na the debates are stupid at hindi na niya halos napapansin yung pinag-uusapan (e.g the wardobe change). For me the one's who kept on complaining about wardrobe, MR's exposure are really Angel fanatics who only watch Imortal for the sole reason of Angel Locsin kaya in a way naiintindihan ko din sila. I mean if I'm not a tv/film buff and just a fanatic of MR eh siguro hindi na rin ako manonood ng Imortal but as it is...hobby ko na ang manood ng tv/sine maski sino pa ang actor as long as I the story line is appealing to me, the actors would matter least. Which is the same thing with Imortal, I started watching it due to MR but has also found the story appealing kay na hook na din ako ngayon. While there are some na ang kaligayahan na ata sa buhay eh makita yung idolo nila in loveydovey scenes at masaya na sila dun.

anywho, I think Jomari's transfer to gma7 changed the way the writers tell their story? Kasi ayun sa RPG, Sam's mission is to find Roman and get him back to fight Magnus. I think they portrayed Magnus as someone really evil in RPG whose sole purpose is to dominate the world. But per tv airing, it is not the case all through out. Magnus loves his daughter and is willing to give her a better world to live in. Since Roman is out of the picture (as per balita now), they placed it on Sam's shoes to fight his beloved father esp about drinking human blood. And since she is Magnus' precious one, she has the power to change his mind. Though I presume it's not going to be easy. Or maybe they can really fight it out to the death. makes for good drama (infighting among the vampires). Oh my gosh, endless story possibilities.

They really humanized Magnus lately. Parang it would be hard for me to believe that he would fight/kill his daughter.

I'm with 24 here...If Sam has to fill Roman's absence...ibig sabihin additional exposure for her since it would be like a whole different story arc (although may existing story arc na si Magnus & Sam) that would be swaying a little farther from Matteo & Lia's love story...Looks like we have to get ready for more anti-Sam comments sa kabila dahil for sure may aangal na naman if Sam would end as a 2nd lead character apart from JLC & Angel as the two main lead.
