if I'm Romero (harbor center/ICTSI) i'l buy the Alaska franchise instead of POW.. your lineup is already Solid its just need a good coach to match it..

di pa solid line up namin.. kulang pa ng isang scorer.. then a good coach..

For me, Alaska is a better franchise compare to Powerade but needs some support from their marquee players plus a good coach will do.

Luigi Trillo is only an interim coach. If he flops, Alaska management will get someone else next season.

And hopefully, get a coach who is an outsider. Banal and Trillo aren't good replacements for Cone.

Mikee Romero has no cash to spend for a franchise. But it's Harbour Center that will be joining the PBA next season. And it definitely won't be Alaska that they will be buying.

The reason is Romero cannot afford to maintain a PBA franchise. Hence, there would be a company that will spend for this, while using the Harbour Center brand.

Alaska similarly is in the brink of disbandment. There are prospective investors who are looking into the possibility of buying the Alaska franchise, including Trillo's team in the D-League, the Cebuana Lhuillier team. As to who will get the Alaska franchise after remains to be seen. But chances of Alaska disbanding is greater than the team staying put.

Harbour Centre is a Romero-owned company, Jay. Who will spend for the franchise if it isn't Mikee Romero?

Regarding Alaska's rumored disbandment, you have a point. The team's listless play is proof of the players' uncertainty.

I know Harbour Center is owned by the family of Mikee Romero. What I'm saying is that it won't be Mikee Romero that will spend in maintaining and running a franchise but an undisclosed investor. Romero isn't even the one spending for the Philippine Patriots, contrary to what many believe.

As to who will spend for the franchise, this practice is not uncommon as presently, there's at least one PBA team that's being paid for by a major franchise owner in the league.

The clue to finding out is knowing which team Harbour Center will be taking over next season.

Isn;t it obvious? SMB is running BARAKO.

THEY ARE USING THE TEAM AS CONDUIT and "FARMING AREA" ng mga BAGITO at "STORAGE AREA" ng mga matatandang players ng SMC.

PBA IS REALLY A JOKE. NO MATTER WHAT RULES THEY IMPLEMENT.

"SMC" WILL SURELY FIND A HOLE.

#WHATTHE**** SMC. LETS GO MVP/NON SMC TEAMS, SHOW DANDING WHAT YOU'VE GOT.

But the pba rules state that if a player being drop by a team, any other team can pick him by just informing the commissioner's office. The pba will then award the rights of the players to the first team who signifies interest to the said player. For a sister team, the rule states that a sister team can only take the player if there are no other takers within 5 days after the player is being drop by his mother team.

After acquiring Arboleda, Alaska can trade him to Air 21 in exchange for the 2nd round pick of the Aces.

While Air 21 has expressed interest in acquiring the services of former Barako Bull guard Wynne Arboleda, the rights to the veteran guard will likely end up with Petron Blaze.

PBA commissioner Chito Salud told InterAKTV that Petron made a tender offer as early as Monday and the PBA will wait until today to see if there are other teams interested in Arboleda.

“We will find out if there’s another team interested to get him by matching the offer made by Petron,” said Salud in a telephone interview.

“Petron has made a three-year, maximum offer. If there’s another team willing to match the offer, then the player will have the right to choose the team he wants to play for, unless it’s Air 21.”

As per PBA rules, Air 21 and Barako Bull are sister teams and cannot make direct trades with each other. Neither are they allowed to sign players released by the other squad.

“Being a sister team, Air 21 cannot pick up Arboleda as he came from Barako Bull,” said Salud. “So it seems Petron will get the rights to the said player.”

Air 21 team manager Jovie Saddul said in a telephone interview that they will negotiate with Petron and make a trade offer to get the services of Arboleda.

One player who might be offered is Jojo Duncil, a member of the Boosters’ champion squad last season, that was taken by Air 21, then known as Shopinas.com, during the dispersal draft. Petron had already made its desire to re-acquire the former UST stalwart known.

“Yes, they’ve expressed their interest in him, but we will see what we can offer para makuha namin si Wynne,” said Saddul.

Express coach Franz Pumaren said Arboleda will be a vital cog in retooling the team’s guard spots.

“He’s a veteran guard and a tough player. For a young team, we need toughness and that’s one thing he can provide,” said Pumaren. “We really need a pure point guard, something in Arboleda’s caliber.”

Arboleda, meanwhile, is happy with the latest developments.

“Kahit saan naman tayo, hangga’t may naniniwala. Masaya ako na binigyan ako ng offer na three years. Good blessing ito sa akin at sa family ko bago man ako mag-retire,” said Arboleda.

Arboleda added that he was called up by Saddul to attend Air 21′s practice on Tuesday, but he couldn’t make it because of a bum stomach.

Good Luck Alaska!!!hoping na manalo kayo against Meralco

    Go Alaska Aces!!!

After watching the game of Alaska vs meralco , I have concluded that Alaska is done for the season. I have observe that that the main problem of Alaska is their turnovers and rebounding, Alaska has never been the same since the departure of Tim cone. They have lose discipline, they turn the ball over frequently. I have been an Alaska fan since I was a kid, it pains me to see this team fall apart. Anyway saying this there are few things I like with what is happening to the team now . The first one is coach trillio
Is trying to develop his bench Players, jazul has been playing great since his arrival in the team, he gives Alaska additional point production off the bench, espinas has been a beast when is on the court. One player I don't like seeing is eman, he reminds me of darko milicic and the 2 nd one is I guess alala will be getting the no 2 pick in the coming draft, with Ellis , nabong, abueva and other notable filams available. Alaska will be for sure ready to be a contender again.
