Tax for Permanent Resident ng ibang bansa

ano rule/guideline pagdating sa pag file ng tax sa pinas kapag permanent resident ka na ng US or Canada or Australia, etc..?

  2. #2
^ Australians can inform their government they will be living overseas. No need to file Aussie income tax return.

From what I know, Americans have to pay US taxes wherever they live.

  3. #3
no, am talking about filipino citizens living as permanent resident overseas, if we still need to file income tax in PI.

  4. #4
kung wala ka namang income earned in the phils, and you live outside for more than 180 days per year, di mo kelangan mag-file ng ITR sa pilipinas.

if you live in the phils more 180 days per year, you're considered a resident and you have to file here (just like a regular taxpayer) for income earned in the phils and abroad, subject to applicable tax treaties.

if you live outside more than 180 days per year but with income earned in the phils., file ka rin for income earned here, again, subject to tax treaties with country of your residence.

kung may nakakaalam ng mas tama, pls feel free to correct me.

ah ok so regardless kung pinoy citizen ka basta wala ka sa pinas at di ka kumita sa pinas, wala kang tax na babayaran sa pinas.

  6. #6
    ^yup, parang ganun.

    Income Earned Abroad

You may qualify for an exclusion from tax of a limited amount of income earned while working abroad. However, you must file a tax return to claim it. In general, foreign earned income is income received for services you perform in a foreign country. You also may be able to claim an exclusion or a deduction from gross income for your reasonable housing costs that are over a certain base amount. Generally, you will qualify for these benefits if your tax home (defined below) is in a foreign country, or countries, throughout your period of bona fide foreign residence or physical presence and you are one of the following:

    1. A U.S. citizen who is a bona fide resident of a foreign country or countries for an uninterrupted period that includes an entire tax year, or
    2. A U.S. resident alien who is a citizen or national of a country with which the United States has an income tax treaty in effect and who is a bona fide resident of a foreign country or countries for an uninterrupted period that includes an entire tax year, or
    3. A U.S. citizen or a U.S. resident alien who is physically present in a foreign country or countries for at least 330 full days during any period of 12 consecutive months.

eto galing mismo sa IRS website FAQ.. nakupo magtago na kayo ng mister mo.. mga tax evader

Question: I am a U.S. citizen. If I move to Canada to live and work there as a Canadian permanent resident, do I pay both U.S. and Canadian Taxes?

Answer: United States citizens living abroad:

Are required to file annual U.S. income tax returns.
Must report their worldwide income if they meet the minimum income filing requirements for their filing status and age.
Must contact the Canadian Government to determine whether you must file a Canadian tax return and pay Canadian taxes.
May be able to elect to exclude some or all of their foreign earned income, if certain requirements are met, or to claim a foreign tax credit if Canadian income taxes are paid.
