Why MBA failed?

When I was much much younger, I was pleasantly surprised to see a basketball league with teams that represent cities instead of products. Pasig Blue Pirates had a kick-*** bus before.

But it wasn't meant to be :-(. The MBA League just vanished like smoke in just a few seasons. What happened? What went wrong?

Tama yung sinabi ni Manok00. Saka nalugi din yung mga team owners ng mga MBA teams nung mga early 2000's dahil na rin sa sobrang taas ng salaries nung mga players nila.

Saka tinatalo na sila ng PBA sa Ratings nung naglaro na yung mga Fil-ams na kagaya nina Asi Taulava, Danny Seigle, Eric Menk, and yung mga fil-shams na kagaya nina Alvarado, Segova, and Parker.

But I felt the PBA also made a mistake with that direct hiring of 1 fil-am per team, para makipag compete with the MBA.
