Jennifer Aniston Rates Her Happiness Level at '10-Plus'

She may have initially made her mark playing New Yorker Rachel Green on Friends, but that doesn't mean the Big Apple was the right place for Jennifer Aniston.

"We tried New York," the Wanderlust star, referring to herself and Justin Theroux, said Friday on Australian radio's The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Sydney, but "it felt like I was [living] in a fishbowl."

And while, "Justin still has an apartment there … It was a little rough with the paparazzi. It didn't feel like the New York I grew up in and knew," notes Aniston, 43, who now calls L.A. home.

As a result, Aniston's current happiness level is at "10-plus," she says, and her Zen approach to life is also a contributing factor.

"You have a more relaxed sense of the world and life," she explains, "and you realize there's nothing to be taken too seriously besides doing your work and being a really good person."

Oh I've been searching for this thread for a long time but I don't know how. I tried but failed. Thanks to a companion in a local thread for posting her fave international stars on our thread. Because of that I become sure that there should be a thread on my favorite international star! Then I tried and at last I found this thread!

I'm starting to backread Jennifer Aniston's first thread. I do it whenever I have so much free time. I'm also watching FRIENDS regularly and I'm already on the 7th Season. Oh it's really funny and I consumed my supposedly quality time watching it! It's difficult to stay away from my CP once I started watching it. I just kept on going for the next episode usually until I can't hold my eyelids open any longer to sleep and kept my CP open till I woke up. Oh my, I think I really am sort of addicted to it! I wish I could buy the 10 Seasons CD as a souvenir to keep. Is it still available?

TV Academy Honors sets 5th annual kudos

'Harry's Law,' 'Rescue Me,' 'Men of a Certain Age' among selections

NBC's "Harry's Law," FX's "Rescue Me," TNT's "Men of a Certain Age" and syndie yakker "Dr. Oz" are among the recipients of the fifth annual Television Academy Honors recognizing programs that tackle social issues.

Longform projects selected are HBO docu "Hot Coffee," which examined the myths of frivolous lawsuits; Lifetime's breast-cancer anthology "Five," with segments helmed by Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, Patty Jenkins and Penelope Spheeris; and PBS' "Women, War and Peace," which focused on gender roles in socio-political conflicts.

"Harry's Law" was chosen for the seg "Head Games," about the death of a high school football player after a concussion. "Rescue Me" seg "344" dealt with Denis Leary's firefighter character returning to Ground Zero. "Men of a Certain Age" episode "Let the Sunshine In" wove together storylines involving the importance of colonoscopy exams and addressing a key character's gambling addiction.

Toplined by cardiologist Mehmet Oz, "Dr. Oz" is hailed for promoting health and wellness topics to daytime viewers.

"Television Academy Honors was started to celebrate excellent programming that not only entertains but also presents a unique or significant look at the human condition and important social issues," said John Shaffner, co-chair of the Television Cares Committee. "It is so exciting to recognize a continued, diverse lineup of honorees that are using the medium of television for good."

Dana Delany will return for a fourth turn as host of the TV Academy Honors ceremony, set for May 2 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
