Wink Will Filipinos finally learn to love Soccer over this?

or at least make it the number 2 sport in the country?

I'm a basketball fan but I believe we are more equipped to do better in Asia in football.

This sport just need one major sponsor the likes of MVP...

still depends.... iba kasi majority ng attitude ng mga noypi's with regards sa sports eh..

    ganito tayo

Kapag nanalo ng isang game or match ng Phil. Team (basketball, football, etc)

    wala tayong bukambibig

"MABUHAY ANG PILIPINO! MABUHAY! SARAP MAGING PILIPINO! PROUD MAGING PILIPINO"

    kapag natalo

"PAKYU KAYO! MGA HAYUP! MGA T@ENA NYO! MGA TALUNAN! MAYAYABANG! NAGSASAYANG LANG NG PERA!"

sa mga ganyang kadahilanan.... wala talaga tayo patutunguhan

Just to add, I think Filipinos are also good in Baseball..

Agreed... But I think kaya naging ganito fans ng RP Basketball dahil tagal na nating umaasa na at least ma regain natin ang respect sa Asia, pero mabagal ang progress...

consistency is the key, so i suggest dapat panoorin ang laban mamaya against myanmar to show support

is Simon McMenemy the new Ron Jacobs of RP football? will he be treated like a god if we win the tournament?

my problem with watching the game today between RP and myanmar is that the defensive tactic the RP will use tend to make the game boring and slow moving. “risk taking” is a bad word as the less talented filipino team will be in a defensive crouch throughout the entire game, and the myanmarians are prepared with this knowledge, unlike the vietnamese.

although i expect a 0-0 score. i hope i'm wrong. i'm not a big soccer fan so pls dont punish me with boring action on the field, lmao.

should i be discouraged if i see the azkals trying to run out the clock instead of trying to win the game with aggressive play?

dont worry... counter attacking naman tayo... hindi naman sila mag dedefend na lang buong laro. they will try to score like they did against vietnam...

I'm happy na aside from basketball and Boxing eh nageexcel tayo sa ibang sports like bowling, taekwondo and lately Soccer. Marami namang Pinoy ang fanatic sa soccer at baseball eh they just need to continue loving the sport despite the lack of support from most Filipino fans and the gov't. Mapapansin din sila ng Pinoy like now.

More exposure and proper funding from private companies. Kahit ano sabihin ng iba may Patriotism parin ang Pinoy, we just need to see continued progress.

madami pang kakaining bigas, pero we are there na, tuloy lang with the core group, practice pa sa offense halos 60-70% ng possession sa kalaban pero ang tindi talaga ng depensa ng pilipinas

sabi nung commentator before the daw ng suzuki cup nag exhibition sa thailand ang pinas, ang score is 7-1 if i am not mistaken, dahil wala iyong mga fil-foreign, so doon palang makikita mo na "filipinos" should/must really learn to love football

concentrate sa mga younger generations... sa mga schools dapat idagdag sa curriculum nila yung sport na football... we don't need to give up any other sports... what we need is diversity, dapat pantay-pantay ang suporta natin

Yun sir yan yung gusto ko sabihin salamat, kahit Collegiate level league sa tingin ko would go along way for us. For starters anyway.
