Hello! Finally nakauwi na din from SG, dumating kami ng 12 midnight sa NAIA, as usual atrasado na naman ang PAL, LOL!

Here's my contribution, as pay-back time!

    Travel dates
    : May-18 to May 20

arrival time at SG: 9:55 am, via PAL

    Hotel: Hotel 81 Palace

---> we were supposed to stay at Fragrance Bugis, since walking distance lang siya sa bugis MRT, pero due to Herbalife Singapore convention, super fully booked na yung mga hotel, we ended up sa Hotel 81 Palace, na katapat lang ng Hotel 81 Geylang.

---> Rate: 6/10, nothing fancy, a budget hotel, okay na rin, tinulugan lang naman namin for about 4 hours/day haha.

---> Very safe naman pala sa Geylang area, kahit red light district siya, and what I like about Geylang eh ang dami daming food outlets, as in every corner. Although, sa last day namin, may narinig kaming umuungol

    Places we visited and enjoyed:

    Day 1, in order

    - Orchard Road
    -Suntec City
    -Fountain of wealth
    -Singapore Flyer
    -Marina Bay Sands
    -Esplanade
    -Chinatown
    -Clark Quaye

    Day 2:

    Day 3:

    - Little India
    -Mt, Faber
    -Merlion Park
    -Bugis

---> after ng bugis shopping, we head back na sa hotel, then at 5:30 pm, nasa changi airport na kami pabalik ng Pinas.

So tip ko lang, huwag ma intimidate sa MRT nila, sa una lang parang magulo, but it so easy pala, nakatipid din kami, kesa sa palaging taxi, lalo na during peak hours, mahal ang singil ng taxi, starting from 6pm onwards.

Overall, we enjoyed Singapore, it is such a beautiful city, napakalinis and yung MRT stations nila, mas high tech pa sa subway ng New York haha.

Sayang nga eh, by next week pala (correct me if I'm wrong), eh yung yearly sale ng singapore, you can shop till you drop nga daw according to the taxi driver LOL, oh well, next time..

    We'll be back SG!

Super thank you sa lahat ng contributors ng thread na to, very helpful, thank you

    Hi!

We are going to Singapore sa July. We only have 2 days and 1/2 to explore the city. What are the best spots to visit. USS and Sentosa lang ang alam ko. Hope you could help us.

    Thanks!

  3. #4783
^ maybe you could try my itinerary, 2 nights and 3 days lang kami, although umuwi kami ng 8pm flight.

Hello, going to Singapore this weekend for 5 days. Although naka-plan na yung USS ng Monday (basing on posts regarding weekends there plus it's the start of school break) ,Singapore Zoo, Sentosa and the Singapore Flyer, any other noteworthy places we should visit? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info. Will keep that in mind.

Hello! This thread is really helpful. Booked to Singapore on July. Is it really easy to go around SG kahit first-timer? Or is it better to avail of the package tours?

  13. #4793
For me mas maganda ang DYI tour safe naman ang SG at maeenjoy mo siya kapag commute ka sa mrt at bus....

Super tama!

Marina bay is so so lang during day...mas na appreciate ko sya pag night mas maganda ang view pati din yung light shor. Must see din sakin ang Marina Bay Skypark kahit may bayad ok lang. Sa Universal Studios mas ok if you bring extra shirts, grabe sobrang init dito. Maliit lang sya nalibot namin in halfday pero kung sasakay ***** kayo ng mg rides be there at the opening para sulit. Sherk and Waterworld is a must see, also songs of the sea. Bili na agad kayo ticket pag pasok nyo sentosa kasi nagkakaubusan nung regular ticket, nabili namin yung 15sgd na premium ticket though ok lang kasi nasa gitna kami. Lau pau sat is better than makasuntra, mas masarap ang satay dito at mas madami choices. To those na mag stay at strands hotel, ok ang location at don't worry sa recent construction in front of the hotel, sa umaga lang maingay. nag stop naman sila sa gabi. Malapit sa bras basah exit d, walk lang *** along coffee bean tapos in front of kopitiam. Nag taxi kami from the airport approx 17sgd, i suggest na mag taxi na lang kung madami luggage. In my 4 days of stay mas gusto ko pa din ang HK kesa SG...)

    thanks to this thread...
    hope this helps..
