Maybe it's not yet the peak of AWM. It's not even fully out on radio stations in the US. As the song gets promoted, more people will know and vote for the song. Perhaps this will be after the Christmas freeze. Sayang lang, because LLWD last year got a very big boost in iTunes sales during the Christmas season.

    BLOG:

Kris Allen was next. I don't watch American Idol. I knew who he was but I wasn't particularly a fan. But the kid has a great voice and a lot of style. I was impressed with him. It was just him and another guitarist, completely acoustic. I personally liked the "stripped down" version of his music.

By the time the Goo Goo Dolls were on (who I'm not a huge fan of), the suite right next to us was teeming with people. Turns out it was Sara and Kris and Guster all right next to us. I was way too shy to speak to Sara though I imagined myself hugging her tightly and saying "Thank YOU" for pushing me to leave my old baggage long behind! She might've called security though so I held back. So I'll just post this photo and pretend like she knows how I feel.

Kris Allen though was really cool. He chatted us for a while. I shook his hand and made a point to tell him that I loved that he covered a U2 song in his set. He took a photo with us and let us pepper him with questions and stories. Very nice guy.

Set list: Can't Stay Away, Alright With Me, Everybody Wants To Rule The World/The Way You Make Me Feel, Live Like We're Dying, The Christmas Song

Listen to the experts talk about incentives for today's game...you can see Kris and hear him singing in the background!

Little Pawns Is Now The Official Kris Allen Street Team!

We are so excited to tell you that Little Pawns is now

the OFFICIAL Kris Allen Street Team

And it’s all because of you! Making flyers, calling radio stations to request “Alright With Me”, promoting Kris’s shows…each and every Little Pawn deserves credit for our official status.

Kris and his team saw what we were doing, what we have accomplished so far, and they wanted to show that they support and appreciate all of our hard work!

Our “Official” title means that we’ll be able to do some really cool Street Team contests with member-exclusive giveaways. We can utilize our creativity by being able to sell exclusive Little Pawns merchandise. Plus, we’ll be among the FIRST to get the latest news on Kris! Naturally, we will continue in our efforts to spread the word about Kris and his music.

You probably won’t notice many changes in the day-to-day business of Little Pawns. However, please be aware that our website address is now: www.littlepawns.com. (I'm sure you all noticed the kick-awesome new banner on the home page, though, right?)

Please note that being “Official” does not mean that we have a direct link to Kris. We are in contact with his management team only. Also, keep in mind that our activities reflect directly on Kris, so let’s make sure we continue to make him look good!

With the slew of new activities that we are going to be able to do, we will be needing all pawns on deck as much as possible. Any effort, no matter how small, is much appreciated. We'd like to remind everyone that we continue to accept donations, which you can find on the Little Pawns homepage. You are not required to contribute, but it would most certainly be appreciated!

Kris sings “Come together…over me”, and that is exactly what we did and what we will continue to do. So be proud, Little Pawns! Be proud! Let's all put our best foot forward to make this street team a success!

Be sure to “like” us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @littlepawns!

Also, we would love to hear from you! Please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions or questions below!

'Alright With Music' Fundraiser Honoring American Idol Winner, Kris Allen, to Benefit 'Music Empowers Foundation'

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Music is one of many ways we can express ourselves. It starts at an early age. Many schools across the country are pulling their music programs because of a lack of funding. A study by the U.S. Department of Education shows that children with instrumental musical experience perform higher on standardized tests than students with no musical experience. A Columbia University study found that students in the arts are more cooperative with teachers and peers, more self-confident and better able to express their ideas.

"Alright With Music" is an initiative sponsored by a group of fans of singer-songwriter and American Idol winner Kris Allen. It's a spinoff of "Team Alright With Moo" which raised more than $25,000 for Heifer International last June in honor of Kris's 25th birthday. This holiday season we are inspired by Kris's spirit of giving and want to focus our attention on another one of his passions: music education programs. Kris has taught us about the important work done by the Music Empowers Foundation, which provides funding to non-profit organizations that offer innovative music programs in underserved areas.

Our goal is to raise at least $25,000 for Music Empowers from now until December 31st. But, we can't do it alone. And, we need you to help spread the word that we need donations. By doing so, we hope to encourage not only fans of Kris, but all who consider music education a necessity, not a luxury, to give to this worthwhile cause.

"Music Empowers Foundation is incredibly honored to be the beneficiary of the 'Alright with Music' holiday fundraiser being conducted by Kris's awesome fans in his honor. Kris has become an amazing advocate for music education," says Music Empowers founder, Andy Davis. "This year, his support of organizations like Music Empowers has helped to bring music education programs to about 100,000 kids."

"I think that kids who want to be involved in music, keep doing it. I'm not saying that everyone is going to be a huge star or going to make millions of dollars being a musician. I think that's what a lot of people think you have to do to be successful in music," Kris says. "There are so many other ways that you can be successful and if you're doing the thing that you love then you're going to be happy with it. So, keep trying, keep doing it and keep getting better. If you love that stuff, it'll pay off in the end."

Idol Chatter talked with Allen last week from his Arkansas home and as part of the conversation we asked him to do a few “sentence completion” tasks.

The words in bold-face type are Kris’ answers:

If you are thinking about getting married, remember TO GET A RING.

The best thing about the holiday season is PUMPKIN PIE.

I would never even try to debate someone over POLITICS.

If I could go to a concert of one golden-oldie performer it would be (AND I HAVE SEEN HIM) PAUL MCCARTNEY.

The best musical instrument in the world is the VIOLA.

If I have a favorite breakfast food it’s AN OMELETTE.

The thing I really enjoy about technology is CONNECTING WITH FRIENDS.

The best compliment I have received since winning American Idol was THAT I AM GENUINE.

I’d like to take Simon Cowell TO DINNER.

If you’re gonna live like you’re dyin then you better SKYDIVE.
