Recently renewed for its second season, THE GLADES™ follows Jim Longworth, an attractive, brilliant, yet hard to get along with homicide detective from Chicago who gets shot by his captain after being wrongfully accused of sleeping with his wife. After being exiled from the department, Longworth relocates to the sleepy, middle of nowhere town of Palm Glade, Florida, where the sunshine and golf are plentiful and crime is seemingly at a minimum. Only this town outside the Florida Everglades isn’t quite as idyllic as he thought, as he finds people keep turning up murdered. Each case pulls Longworth off the golf course and reluctantly into his element as one of the sharpest homicide detectives to wear a badge.

Between practicing his short game, trying to get a date with Callie - a quick-witted, beautiful medical student with a 12 year-old son and a husband in prison - and trying to solve countless homicide cases, Longworth’s transition to his new surroundings is a bit more difficult than expected. He’s realizing the skies in this new town are always sunny...with a chance of homicide.

I just started watching it! Middle of Season 2 now. At first I thought it was just alright, but I'm really liking it now. Matt Passmore has a certain charm, very similar to Simon Baker's. I can't wait to get to Season 3!

The show really grows on you! It really shows everything about Florida.

At the end of Season 2 I told my dad that they will eventually have an episode with a Nudist Colony as a background story, and lo and behold! There's an episode in Season 3 with a Nudist colony.

Just finished Season 2! About to start Season 3 - will probably catch up within the day. I'm so stupid and impatient though - I read the synopsis of the episodes because I couldn't wait.

I kinda lost interest after I got into Rookie Blue.

I think I'm just looking for another couple to love on TV, and when I found Andy McNally and Sam Swarek, I lost interesting in Jim and Callie. But I'm still going to follow this.
