    ah ok. sa FF ako, di ko pa naman natanong but i doubt if they'll ever allow it. maganda sana yung chalk, im using it when i do rope climbing as warm up sa gymnastics.

    try mo hook grip, para sa kin mas secure un pero d ko alam sa iyo. it could extend your non-reliance on chalk for about a few more sessions if you find it comfortable.

    Pexers, running on my second week sa gym..pansin ko ang hina ng arms ko sa BP..
    Squat = 120lbs
    DL = 140 lbs
    naiwan BP ko sa 80lbs..
    any tips po for the BP?..

    ^ Hindi iwan ang bench mo... you're supposed to squat and deadlift more than you bench...

    how much do you weigh at the moment??

    MP = 65lbs
    Pullups = 1X5
    PR = 70lbs

    Sir blake, is BP machine does the same impact compared with normal BP?

  8. #48
    ^ Yun nalang, your arms aren't weak, your whole upper body is weak.

    and stay away from machines... Iba mabubuhat mo sa real bench and sa machines... they'll give you a false sense of strength

    check your form.. most people tend to use their knees too much and not enough hips when doing squats

    Good day blakedaddy! I'm just wondering if I could shift from SS 3x5 to Stronglifts 5x5? Been using SS for four weeks already and gained 3 lbs. I'm 5'7 1/2 and weighs 132 lbs.

    Deadlift - 140 lbs
    Squat - 110 lbs
    Bench press - 85 lbs
    Pendlay Rows - 75 lbs
    Standing MP - 60 lbs

    if you're still gaining on ss, stick to it... Your numbers are still not that high to benefit from a 5x5

    ^ Why not do the SS template ( if yun ginagamit mo now) then worry what to do next when you hit a plateau??

    Almost 2weeks kasi ako nabakante kaya bagsak ulit ng buhat.

    Squats= 121 pounds (55kilos)
    Bench= 115.5 pounds (52.5k)
    Deadlift- Hindi ko na magawa minsan. Nasasaraduhan ako ng gym. Late na ako nakakapunta

    Ang t-bar row pwede ba gamitin? dumbell row?

    Sa time ko kasi baka pang rippetoe muna ako hindi ko macomplete dahil magclose na gym. Ang rippetoe mas madali mag-add weight dahil 3sets of 5 lang ?
    Ang sinusunod ko yung post sa eclipse gym.com
    http://www.eclipsegym.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=57

    By the way about pullups. Pag consistent ang deadlifts and barbell rows lalakas pala. Ito yung nabasa ko sa eclipse forum.

    eclipse
    4) Pull-ups After maybe 1-2 warmup sets of 3 reps, you will perform 5 sets of 5 reps with approximately 90% of your top 5 weight for Pullups. Be sure to rest 5 minutes here. If you cannot do 5 pullups per set, don't worry about it. They grow stronger as your deadlift and dynamic rows grow stronger.
    eclipse
    Pullups = 3 reps. With pullups, don't be concerned about it. If your gym has a gravitron or pull-up assistance device, that is ok. Avoid pulldowns since they don't really translate into pullup strength. They also don't develop the abs like pullups do. I'll save the "why" pullups develop the abs for the pullup discussion later. My best advice is to just try to do 5 sets of pullups, even if you can only do a negative rep or 1-2 reps per set. Many of my first trainees upon the opening of Eclipse couldn't even do a half-rep when they started. These same guys can now perform as much as 60lbs strapped to their waist for 5 reps. This is 6 months later, and their V-shaped backs and defined biceps are the envy of their friends who train elsewhere.

    ^ with your strength numbers, you'll benefit from the rippetoe program more at the moment than a 5x5
