What's BLOG?
The closes match in my dictionary is a BLOB file.![]()
Errr... you never heard about BLOGs?
BLOGs are web logs. Parang online personal diaries that may be made public. Parang ki Dr Doogie Howser but it's posted online.
Here's an example http://www.blogger.com/
"Blog" is short for "weblog." Blogger.com allows you to publish your thoughts and links straight to your website with the click of a button. No need for FTP or a control-panel-based web uploader; Blogger handles all the nitty-gritty for you!
If you don't have your own website, there's Blogspot, a dedicated blog host.
It's a fast and fun way to keep your website/online journal updated without going through the fuss of uploading your stuff. Just log into Blogger, type your post, and click PUBLISH; Blogger will do the rest.
My blog is at http://www.brownpau.com , but my free host (Digitalrice) has been a bit screwy lately, so it might not load.
I used to have my blog at http://www.pitas.com/. It's more user-friendly but less customizable than Blogger-type weblogs. Accounts at http://www.diaryland.com are more of the diary-type, where each blog entry is displayed on separate pages. Pitas.com displays all entries until you archive, while Blogger can do both, and more.
After that info... yes, I do blog (the URL is in my signature below), but I don't use the above-mentioned techniques (I code my HTML myself). For me, blogging has been incredibly therapeutic. It's helped me organize my thoughts and think over things that happened that day, not to mention I've been able to interact with other webmasters and stuff about a whole range of things.
Brownpau... I can't access your site! *sniffle* I miss my daily dose, hehe.
My thoughts are my own... I do not want any tight-as*ed psychology major or psychiatrist picking my brains because of what I wrote and form a personal profile on me.
Hrmm... So, don't blog.Originally posted by tolya
My thoughts are my own... I do not want any tight-as*ed psychology major or psychiatrist picking my brains because of what I wrote and form a personal profile on me.I, personally, like sharing my thoughts. Since I seem to be challenged in saying what I want to say, spoken-word-wise, I pour all my energy into my writing. Heh, besides, who'd want to form a personal profile of me? And anything like that based on--stuff that I wrote knowing that it would be seen by a lot of people--would be incomplete and useless as a personal profile.
And besides, unless you requested a pysch somebody to form a profile of you, I don't think they'd attempt that unless you were a wanted psycho criminal.Just my thoughts.
To each his own then...
I sort of have one. I dont use blogger, I update it manually. Check it out :P
