@iloveblue... Sa jobstreet...i want to apply sana yung PSA? Kaso ang kailangn nila is kahit may 1 year experience.... Eh im a fresh grad (octoberian) and marketing graduate.... And last question...whats the difference of PSA and Jr. PSA? For none experience ba yung Jr. PSA? Thanks po sa pagsagot... Sensya na po napaka raming tanong...ahehehehehe... Godbless...

  2. #22
jabba, kahit anong degree ok lang as long as you have 1 yr or more experience related to PSA.

i guess yung JR PSA kahit wala kang experience as PSA. but the jobstreet ad said you should have worked in an airport environment before. ako i applied for the jr psa, iba din kasi field ko e pero gusto ko talaga ang gantong nature ng work... itry ko na lang. try mo rin, baka mashortlist pa tayo, hehe

  3. #23
Goodluck ah...

hello guys!!! just passed sa pagss nung monday, then pasa ko requirements sa thurday. Come monday, orientation. Hindi ko talaga inexpect, kasi out of 10 na kasama ko, ako lang yung nakuha for psa, then yung iba inofferan ng cargo something position.. ayun medyo nalungkot nga rin ako.. pero masaya rin kasi magkakawork na ako. sana makapasa ako sa medical tom. good luck sa inyo!

nga pala, hospitality mgt grad ako, i don't know anything about airport operations, though may tourism classes naman kami dati. Maganda naman daw yung training ng PAGSS, some of my colleagues also trained there. Now, they work for SAL, Cathay, etc.

yeah, i also think so. PSA's usually deal with ticketing, and other stuff like luggage, immigration, etc.

IMO, siguro mas malaki talaga sahod ng FA's kasi nga they fly. Mababa tlaga pasahod sa land-based employees compared to fa's and sea men dito and abroad.

@meekweak: most of the PSA's walang alam sa ticketing, iilan lang ang meron but most of them validity lang alam but when it comes to restrictions iraradio na nila yun sa ticketing agents.

I want to ask meekweak how was there interview? Congrats that you have the job as psa.
Pagss texted me last2x week and this week to attend the interview because i wasnt able to attend the first time.
Because i read on previous thread regarding the training without allowane for 5 wks and 2 yrs contract with them on minimum salary, is it still the same?

I also want to work inside the airport however I'm confused because I also have financial needs. Hope to hear from someone to shed some light.

    Pagss

hi calamarifries! I've already signed contract with PAGSS early this afternoon. Our training will start on December 03 for 10 days with no allowance. After that, we will be having an exam and must atleast reach a grade of 85% to be able to continue for the next step which is the Internship Program. The duration of the program will last for 3 months at this point the PSAs will receive 323 Php per day as an allowance. If you will do great in the Internship Program, PAGSS will offer you a two years contract with them.

    Hope it helps calamarifries...

Leeian, I was invited for an interview on December 6-10... May itatanong lang po ako... Yung allowance po ba na 323 per day, no duty-no pay ba or 323*30days ang pay? And the 2 years contract is a binding contract ba?

Hmmm... I wonder kung magkano ang offer nila for a 2-year contract kasi parang ang hirap bago mo ma-reach yun..

Ang hirap lang kasi parang hindi pa pala sure kapag tinanggap ka nila, may training na walang allowance and you'll just receive Php323 for 3months kakasya ba yun. Tss..

I have a scheduled interview next week, ngayon parang ayaw ko na ituloy.

Hi idreamtofly! Yes, it is no work no pay. We must render 48 hours of work in a week, meaning 6 days of work, and the two years contract is a binding contract..

Hi Papa Bear! I calculated the 323 Php a day and the result is, it's like your a minimum wager. I know it is not enough but look on the other side, the hr manager in PAGSS told us, that this kind of work is a stepping stone to become a FA or better it will bring us to abroad..
