love the beaches of Panglao island but hate the way some locals make money out of you.

you pay for the pumpboat to take you to the snorkeling area. but then you have to pay another small banka so that you can reach the shore of that small island which is just 30 meters away from the snorketling spot. bakit hindi na lang yung pumpboat ang magdala sa amin sa isla? kalurkey! kaya nilangoy na lang namin kasi mababaw lang naman din ang snorkeling area

Yeah, I read your blog and your concern also to the tarsiers. I hope that they enlarge the current visitor's area, or promote the tarsier center in Corella for tourists who would not mind walking in a larger forest, the natural habitat of the tarsiers.

Well, I guess that's the agreement between the motorboat and paddleboat owners, para may income din ang locals sa Balicasag island.

No need to rent a puddle boat and aqua shoes,

How about Pamilacan Island...mas maganda daw doon sabi ni kuya Paul... hindi pa masyado ginagamit ng mga turista, kaso lang medyo mahal pa daw ang boat rental doon. but kung mas maganda nga naman doon, its worth a try *****..

    Pamilacan Island...NEXT

    My Top 10 Bohol Experience!

    #10 Bilar Butterfly Garden
I just love the butterfly effect in picture, one should try! And the local guides are the funniest part of the tour!!

    #9 Baclayon church
Centuries old church – Oh my god! History for me is boring, but seeing those treasures that this church kept and learning the stories behind I was captivated.

#7 Buwis buhay pictorial in Man-made Forest
It was extremely thrilling! That was so fun taking picture in the middle of the road, my first reaction was you got to be kidding me Paul! But our driver, tour guide and photographer took us a very good picture while ensuring our safety.

    #6 Balicasag Island
I fall in love with nemo! Superb Marine Sanctuary. But beware of the locals offering lots of rentals. Pera pera lang lahat sa kanila.

#5 Plunge & Caving in Danao
If you want to forget everything for a minute of your life try to do the plunge, a perfect stress reliever!

    #4 Abatan River Firefly Watching
Fireflies were like a series lights on a Christmas tree!!

    #3 Morning Hills
I know this is not part of the usual countryside tour package and I guess none of the tour operators’ offer a visit at Himontagon/Morning hills but we were so privilege that Kuya Paul Incon reveal to us this secret paradise despite of the rough road going there. Wow it’s so true that “It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness” it was so amazing you got the view of the beach and a promise that your body, mind and spirit shall be at ease.

    #2 Anda beach
Sugar-fine white sand and crystal clear blue water, palm trees silhouetted against the bright tropical sun, sounds like tag lines for a google search of Paradise...

    #1 Lamanoc Island mystic tour
Unveil the secrets of Mystical Island with red hematite rock painting, caves, rock shelters and shaman’s trail. Kung gusto nyo mka.kita ng wak2x (multo) look for Fortunato “forting” HEHE the best local guide you’ll be amaze with his stories about the island. How I wish I could observe shaman’s ritual.

hi... my family of 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 5 below) will be going to Bohol this December... I have yet to decide on where to stay

a friend highly recommended Dumaluan because of the beach, and for parents, a nice beach is gold for kids na talaga! But the reviews at tripadvisor for Dumaluan 2 leaves a lot to be desired (lalo pa, if we're going to stay there, we'd need to spend P15k for the 2 rooms for 3 nights na stay)

upon searching and researching... I saw Flower Garden resort and like that we can stay in a 3-bedroom bungalow for only P3k. Yun nga lang, we might need to ride a trike (if we don't want to walk) to Alona Beach (and pa-weekend yung stay namin, so this beach might be overly noisy naman)

But I figured... we will be out the whole day for 2 days naman, so hindi ko rin kailangan talaga ng 'right on the beach' accommodation... and I like that there seems to be more dining and shopping options at Alona...

But how noisy does it get there? Kung sa Flower Garden kami mag-stay, medyo mapo-protect na ba kami sa live bands, videoke or whatever else (read a review for Cherry Home Too na pag weekend, maingay)?

Could we just go to Dumaluan 2 for a day tour, and how much will that cost? Can we shower there pag day tour? And how far is that from Alona Beach?

We're not interested in pools, mas gusto namin ang beach... same beach strip nga ba ang BBC and Dumaluan?

I really hope to get feedback... thanks

yikes... Flower Garden isn't available anymore on the dates that we're there....

yungs sa Cherry's Home ba... how noisy pag weekends? Kasi nga we have kids who have to sleep properly

kung sa W&G naman... how far is that from Alona (where all the food/shopping/etc is)?

    Thanks!!!

I think W&G is at the same beach strip as Dumaluan and BBC. You can enter BBC's beach and swim at their pool for P400/head yata, consumable fee. Masarap naman food sa restaurant nila, facing the beach.

Most parts of Alona beach gets covered by water during high tide.
