CSB is one if not the most benevolent private college, you have a lot of scholarship options. and the college grants up to 100% with allowance dipende sa type of scholarship.

CSB is a college with diverse population, from the richest to the simplest, but one thing is for sure once inside the class room you are all the same, you draw your own fate there, regardless of your social status. CSB is a unique place where the uniqueness of each and everyone if given importance

Hi to all! can anyone tell me po kung tatanggapin kaya sa pre-application requirements ang GWA ng asawa ko sa 2 1/2 years niya in college na 2.44 .. we just manually computed his GWA.

He stopped from college back in 2005 and since then has been the one sending his younger sisters to school.

    Thank you!

Well, I'm not sure kung anu equivalent grade nyan sa La Salle Grading System. Pero yung saken na 1.85 (and this is the La Salle Grading System equivalent na po) was considered for BASAP. Try nyo po mag inquire sa SGO, perhaps they can answer your question.

    @flyinfree:
I wasn't able to try out for the SDA grant when I had the chance but I'll be glad to answer your questions for as much as I could.

    1. Let them know who you are as you write your essay. Show your personality in your portfolio. Let them know that you are deserving because you can bring the results as a student consistent in excelling academics.

    2. As for your nationality, I don't think it matters. Every grant/scholarship requires their respective applicants to meet requirements, and that includes being screened for a background check to verify stuff like your socio-economic status, among other considerations. There are quite a lot of foreign students enrolled in CSB alone, many of them East Asians so you won't certainly feel homesick.

Thank you po in advance sa sasagot.. di ba po ang mga student-scholars under BASAP can either take Business Management or Marketing Management? ano po ba ang mas maganda sa kanilang dalawa sa tingin niyo?

and lastly po, anong oras po ba usually ang pasok ng mga scholars under BASAP? kung night po, what time po kaya?

    1. Go the DLS-CSB website to check out the different scholarships the school is offering for interested students.
    2. I recommend you apply for the SDA grant. One major requirement for the grant is for you to have a very impressive portfolio to present to the Student Grants Office.
    3. You don't need to have a dSLR camera on your initial year in CSB as an MMA student. The school have an inventory of cameras that students can use for their photography classes.
    4. I'm also from the middle class when I applied and got accepted into such an expensive school as CSB. If you think you can excel there, then go for it. I never manage to get a scholarship for myself but I'm thankful my parents were able to save up for my college education early on despite how difficult it is these days to get to the school you want to be in.

    Go with your gut.

i applied for basap scholarship for SY 2012-2013. however, on my final status, it was stated, for me to reconsider and have my really final status, i need to send another official transcript with advance entrep grade. it was terrible, kasi my previous school already gave me a copy of that and honorable dismissal, and they cannot give me another copy. i called admissions but they need that requirement. hays. so saddened by that time. question guys, can i reapply? although my docs are still in csb admissions. thanks for the answer!

    xoxoRyan

Guys patulong po especially sa mga CDA SOFA GRANTEES!

Ocular inspection? Yes, they do ocular. Well, in my case they did. May pumunta na taga-SGO sa bahay namin and asked if there was a (*insert my name here*) dun. So sabi nila oo (I was at school nung time na yun) and they just gave my folks a list of more requirements I have to bring to SGO. Yun lang.

The scholarship depends on your grades + financial situation. In my case, 100% tuition and fees waiver ako, so yung P200 token fee lang ang binabayaran ko every term.

I was confident that I'd be able to get through BEST scholarship kaso 89% lang yung high school GWA/GPA ko. Eh di ba 90% yung required. So I tried for SOFA. (Share lang! LOL)

Mabait sila sa SGO. Sobrang busy and sabog lang talaga, lalo na pag enrollment season. ) But I think it's safe na to go there at this time. Tapos na enrollment eh. HAHA

As a scholar, I've had a great experience in CSB. No discrimination or whatsoever form of moral degradation. Kung sa iba, sasabihin nilang "Scholar ka lang", samin hindi. Ang sinasabi samin "Wow, scholar ka?!" Maski yung mga partial scholars proud sabihin na scholar sila. Hahaha.
Are transferred students from other university can apply for SOFA scholarship even the student don't finish his 1 year or his first semester from his previous school?*Kasi sa case ko after HS pumasok ako sa La Salle Dasma i took up there Political Science then after 1 month pagkatapos ng prelim ko umalis ako sa DLSU-D kasi ayoko na ng school pati mga classmates ko.. ngayon mag 1 year na muna akong di pumapasok the this coming june 2012-2013 gusto ko sanang magaaply ng scholarship sa benilde SOFA.. galing kami sa middle class family kasi ang papa ko ay ofw sa abroad pero bago pa lang sya at di naman maganda bahay namin lagi nga kaming tinutuluan pwede ba akong magaaply? kahit di ko natapos ang 1 year ko sa previous school NOTE: hanggang ngayon di pa ako nakakapag officially drop sa la salle dasma kasi wala pa kaming pera na pang drop so pag may pera na baka pwede na akong magaaply for scholarship.. so bali pag nagaaaply ako sa benilde transferee ako pero magaapply for SOFA scholarship sa tingin nyo pwede ba?

    SOFA has 2 types:
    1) given to fresh high school graduates
    2) given to anyone with at least 1 year residence in CSB

upon looking at it you'll fall under the second one
