^I heard may case daw na may mga nahihirapan na mga students na may dual citizenships na makakuha ng scholarship. Nonetheless, if you are a natural-born Filipino naman, that should be enough evidence na rin to become eligible.

Not necessarily kasi all application forms for scholarships ay sinasubmit sa Student Grants Office. Puwede mo na rin naman lakarin after dropping off all your forms required by Admissions.

Nope. You have to undergo several screenings plus a background check to see if you're highly qualified and deserving of a SOFA grant.

Best way is for you to talk to someone from the Student Grants Office.

Hi, since scholarship nalang din naman na pinaguusapan. ask ko lang kung mahirap makapasa/makakuha nang scholarship? hindi kasi ako ganun katalino lalo na sa math tapos middle class lang family ko. Transferee po ako, and with failing grade (im from Mapua kaya madami bagsak) pwede pa po ba ako matanggap? salamat!

Madali lang. I was a transferree from UST. Although bagsak ko yung isang Math subject ko (I was a Math Major in UST.lol), nakapasa ako. Got SOFA scholarship nung sophomore year ko.

Math subjects in CSB are relatively easy.

Hi! AB-CDA 109 here. SOFA-Incoming grantee, 100%. I come from a middle class family, so obviously I had to apply for a scholarship. I applied for the grant along with the DLS-CSB entrance application, so from the start pa lang scholar na ko. Sipag lang kailangan sa pag-apply for a scholarship, kasi di ba maraming requirements.

Ocular inspection? Yes, they do ocular. Well, in my case they did. May pumunta na taga-SGO sa bahay namin and asked if there was a (*insert my name here*) dun. So sabi nila oo (I was at school nung time na yun) and they just gave my folks a list of more requirements I have to bring to SGO. Yun lang.

The scholarship depends on your grades + financial situation. In my case, 100% tuition and fees waiver ako, so yung P200 token fee lang ang binabayaran ko every term.

I was confident that I'd be able to get through BEST scholarship kaso 89% lang yung high school GWA/GPA ko. Eh di ba 90% yung required. So I tried for SOFA. (Share lang! LOL)

Mabait sila sa SGO. Sobrang busy and sabog lang talaga, lalo na pag enrollment season. ) But I think it's safe na to go there at this time. Tapos na enrollment eh. HAHA

As a scholar, I've had a great experience in CSB. No discrimination or whatsoever form of moral degradation.

I passed the exam. How can I know if I got the scholarship grant also?

I believe there's going to be a interview and a background check that's going to happen. Contact the SGO for details.

Many thanks! The results were out last friday and I'm still waiting for my scholarship status. I applied for the SOFA Scholarship... I can't go to CSB without one

Contact SGO or maybe Admissions and try asking them on what to do to learn about your current application status for scholarship.

I bet everything will turn out just fine for you. Good vibes ka lang dapat.

I have already done that. My current scholarship status is currently on observation. The SGO people are questioning my mom and dad's income tax return. Ugh -____- =(

Patience is a virtue.
