Raring to make a grand entrance with an almost complete lineup after a one-game suspension on eight players, the San Beda Red Lions cruised to a convincing 82-67 win over the Lyceum Pirates for their second straight win in the 88th Season of the NCAA at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The Red Lions now share the top spot with Jose Rizal University with similar 2-0 win-loss cards.

Behind the combined efforts of Baser Amer and Jake Pascual in the third, the Red Lions enjoyed a nineteen point spread, 56-37 midway.
An already won game entering the fourth, the Red Lions still muscled their way to increase their lead to its widest at 25, 71-46. San Beda held on to the driver’s seat until the final buzzer.
Leading scorer Baser Amer anchored that stretch where he scored eight straight points.
“It’s an even tournament,” said coach Ronnie Magsanoc, who won his second straight game at the helm of San Beda.
“Everybody was eager to play and contribute. Everybody sacrificed today because we have to play everyone.”
