Why does the Philippines look like a wild jungle???

Philippine cities are very jungle-ish. There are too many fack'n trees scattered all over the place. There is just an overgrowth of those d@mn trees. They are like fungus sprouting all over the city without organization. The cities are very baryo looking. The cities look like a giant rainforest with so many out of place uber bushy acacias, narras, sampaloks and kamatsiles. The cities will look more open, wide and bright if covered with well manicured grass and organized, well lined, smaller and nicer looking plants and trees (eg palm trees). The trees in the cities are huge. Nagmumukha tuloy tirahan ng kapre.

If they want trees, they should be concentrated on one place like the Central Park in New York C

or the Champ de Mars in Paris

^ Ugh... May IGNORANTE dito ...You Can't compare a 1st world country from a 3rd world like the Pilipins

Because on average the Philippines have more rainfall than any of those places.

It's actually a good thing because trees tend to absorb Greenhouse gas and also help maintaining cool.

As long a zoning is created right, I've got not problem with trees.

What 'zoning' concern that people need to bother with instead of crying over trees are squatter areas and cleaning waterways.

These are plans for future high rises, with vegetation on top of buildings.

It is a 3rd world concrete jungle.

As any progressive/ urban city is.

The quality of life is not that high if you'll generalize it. The infrastructures maybe aesthetically pleasing but where does the citizens actually live?

well i do agree, metro manila has really poor urban planning- kung mayroon man, di ito natutupad dahil sinira ang plano ng mga iskwaterz.

and we can't really do anything about it usless we become like a semi nazi state like Singapore and force people to relocate if needed to be all in the glorious name of progress.

Going GREEN is a political slogan. Ask your politicians about their TREE planting programs. Given the chance, these politicians will plant seedlings at every open lot given that their trapulins will be bannered there and they will get a kick back with the purchase of these plants.
