I've had my N8 with me for around 3 weeks na and I must say that I've never been so happy with the purchase. Super sulit ng phone. From the advanced hardware to the new Symbian ^3 OS. I've read so many reviews saying that the new OS DAW is clunky and difficult to use, but I think the reviewers just weren't that familiar with how customizable Nokia's platform is kasi I've seen comments that could have been resolved kung familiar sila sa symbian. & with all the upgrades and hacks availble on the internet, I think the N8 will be able to go head to head with all the other devices out there.

Heck my N8 now takes 30 FPS videos and 100% quality photos after I installed the hyperX hack. I'm also installing the camerapro app that will improve the camera UI, and will also include new and better settings for exposure, ISO, HDR, etc. Camera pa lang yun!

I hope Nokia improves on their marketing. I think malaki ang mababawi nila kung mas maging mabangis ang marketing strategy nila. They're not even shouting about the fact that the N8 is pentaband! USB on the go, bihira rin i-mention sa media kits. Hay, sana ma-realize nila yun.

saka ano yung sa inyong nabili, made in china ba o finland?

ok lang ba kung made in china? plano ko kasi bumili, at gusto ko from finland kaso hindi ata available dito sa pinas (asia)?

so far, maganda naman yung nabasa at narinig kong feedback about n8.. but i need some recent comments bago ako mag-purchase. tia.

Isa lang masasabi ko sa N8...SULIT! I am a multimedia addict, i like playing my favorite mp3 and sharing it with my friends either thru its loud built in stereo speakers or by its FM transmitter capability also by tv via hdmi or av cable using the default wyswyg screen or by Big Screen application, watch mtv clips and movies, listening and streaming to international radio stations, take high resolution pictures and HD videos, play HD games, customize my wallpapers and themes for a new look everyday or make it look like an adroid, iphone or w7 phone, it is a poratble multimedia player in which you can use the usb on the go feature, tap a usb drive with movies/music/pictures in it and connect it to any tv anywhere and share it to everyone anytime, no need to buy those expensive players made by western digital, apple and others. Its an all-in-one phone, which fits in my pocket!

Either made in China or Finland its still a genuine N8, warranted by Nokia. I bought two N8 already all made in China, been using for more than 4 months already, no problems encountered, the kinetic scrolling is great and it improved a lot after updated to PR 1.2, im excited for the Anna PR 2.0 update and the Belle PR 3.0 update. :-)

buy na n8 its better than the android phones imo since android is still in its development stages di pa sya pulido. in terms of ease of use imo symbian 3 could be compared to iphone os. lamang lang ng iphone is the apps. however n8 is a lot a lot cheaper and has an awesome camera.

mukhang marami ka nang nabasa na pros sa N8, eto yung ilan sa mga cons based on my experience:

1) purple screen issue
2) you must be very careful on installing apps - make sure basahin mo yung mga user comments kasi yung iba nagloloko yung N8 while/after installing.
3) yung ibang mkv at avi video files, kung hindi walang sound, walang video. yung iba lang naman.

overall, N8 is very good

whoa, thanks sa feedback Gide0n , narinig ko na rin before yung purple screen issue kaso ngayon ko lang nalaman na madami palang N8 at C7 users ang affected nyan.. pero so far, kamusta naman ang gamit mo ng N8 mo, hindi naman ba pangit when you view pictures or watch videos kahit may purple screen? hindi ba annoying o sulit naman ba kahit may issue? para kasing walang balak ang nokia na i-resolve yung screen issue. hehe, thanks again

^ so far sobrang okay sa akin ang N8, simply because of its camera, USB-on-the-go, HDMI at capacity.

tungkol sa purple screen, wala namang problema sa akin kasi hindi naman apektado ang mga pictures at videos na nakukuha mo gamit ang camera ng N8.

wala din akong problema sa mga apps kasi meron naman akong iPod Touch.

iPod Touch + N8 = WIN!

i sold my n8 to my officemate so i can buy the note. everytime we are attending an event, i cant help but get jealous of my old n8 coz it captures great images, and videos too! after playing around with android for at least a month, i can say i regret selling my n8.

planning to buy n808 soon.
