@hbrepresentative - hi, i received a call this afternoon regarding the data entry position and was asked to come tomorrow for interview and my interviewer said that if i passed the interview, there will be a paid trial for like an hour or so for the job. is the interview difficult? after the paid trial, what will be my next step? is it like one-day process or not? tia

Sorry for the late response, by now you will have had your interview already. You can probably confirm that it wasn't very difficult.

If you get to the paid trial (depending on the role you're applying for, you may or may not go through this trial), you will be assessed and that can take up to 1-2 weeks, depending on the number of other applicants.

I'm afraid I can't give you specific salary ranges, but trust that at HB you will be offered competitive salary packages with performance bonuses and other unique perks by contributing to the company. Hi! Depending on the amount of applications we receive for a position, screening of resumes may take 1-3 weeks. It actually helps with the processing if you apply online through Jobstreet (to better manage all the applications), though of course we've included your (and your friends's) resume.

Yes we're still looking for Junior Web Developers. I'd say as long as the ad is still up on Jobstreet, you can apply.

For your first question, we're not really strict about that, though as much as possible I encourage you to answer in English. Since we have international clients, it's good practice.

Me and my colleague had an exam and interview in your office last Jan 18. We applied for the customer advocate position. That same day, I checked the opening post in your company and I found out that there were only 5 positions available for the post we've applied and the last date of submission was until Feb 18,2011. We were all waiting for the results hoping to be hired. Friday of this week, I checked the site again to find out that the post is already closed.
How long does it usually take for us to know the results?
Is there an instance that someone failed the trial period? How long does it take before we know the result? If we passed, what's next?

For Customer Advocate applicants, you'll know the results before the end of the month since we have been processing a lot of applications.

Rest assured that those qualifying for the next step will be contacted via email and/or phone. This applies generally to all steps in the HB recruitment process.

When we post something in Jobstreet, there'll be a certain period/window to advertise the jobs available and receive more applications. What's so good about Henderson Blake is that we're a growing company and we'll be hiring people as needed, possibly every month, for various positions. So even if you see that the job posting is closed, we're able to review the files of those who have expressed their desire to join us.

@j3cko: In general, our employees may undergo special training, if required. The work environment is also such that for every task/project you receive, your supervisor, or even other team members, are there to guide you along and provide coaching points if needed.

@juzme_708: For your question about the trial period, yes there are some instances when people don't meet expectations, though as mentioned, we keep records of those with potential. And we advise all our applicants of the next step/s in the recruitment as they progress.
