people who have class and breeding even without richness earns my respect.

the opposite goes for people who live beyond their means.

    Is she an MD now?

the word sosyal has already developed a totally different meaning from the word social from which it was derived.

Sosyal now refers to elegance or classiness in Filipino context

there's nothing wrong with speaking straight english. nagiging pasosyal siguro kapag hindi marunong mag Filipino or kung marunong man, hindi siya nag fifilipino at all.

Excuse me? It's pasosyal to speak english even if you can't speak Filipino? Do you suggest an english only person to completely stop speaking lest he be ridiculed?

For practicality's sake I agree that its better to speak Filipino than straight English if the person you're talking to is not very good at English.

English is classy, but conyo is pasosyal and RETARDED. I would say straight Tagalog is really elegant.
