Hello to Ateneans! I'm gonna take ACET this January. Is there a big difference between regular freshmen ACET and transferee ACET? I want to hear some transferee who took ACET and got in. Thanks.

I'd like to believe it's the same thing for transfer students. Alot of Math, English, Comprehension and Abstract Reasoning.I took it 6 years back and got through. And also, as far as I can remember, out of the 600+ transfer student hopefuls, only about 40-50 passed and 30 of us proceeded. So now that had me thinking if there is a quota or some sort for transferee admission? haha Goodluck!![]()

Thanks, now I know I have to go through needle's hole for this transferring process. Hope I can really pass.![]()
Have you written the test before? Don't forget the general information part. Goodluck!

I'm a girl, for the record. haha. but yeah, you're most welcome. goodluck!![]()
So you're a girl pala, pwede ask ano coverage ng math? Is it more composed of geometry and trigo, how about calculus? please enlighten me, thanks.

More of geometry and trigo. Calculus? HMM, AFAIR, wala pa naman atang calculus. I did not take any calculus shiz in high school. =)) Pero in case you pass the ACET, there will be an Advance Placement Test (I dunno if that's the exact name), yan na yung may calculus. HAHA!
Salamat, but I mean transferee ACET, kasi siguro those who'll transfer already took calculus subjects na, like I took already 2 Calculus subjects on my first and second year in college. Maybe ACET for freshmen is a lot different from ACET for transferee?
technically speaking, there is no transferee ACET. You take the same ACET that the late applicants and the people who didn't make it to the venue on time during the first ACET.
Ah I see. So okay pala, must study lang siguro on math problems? I thought test for transferee students will be different, same lang pala. And I'll acquiesce to take with high school seniors?
I'm also planning to transfer (if i pass that is haha!) I'm super scared though, I'm taking PT right now at UERM (mapapansin ba nila na mahirap ibang subjects ko? [comparative anatomy *cough*] Haha! At 28 units ko per sem?) :P
I've read this:

How can be freshmen same to transferee ACET eh separate dates sila. This January ako take at sabi may mga highschool na magtatake din. Naku parang misleading naman. Lahat siguro kami puro transferee. At iba siguro ang coverage ng ACET ngayon.![]()
Well for the math part of the upcoming ACET on Jan 16 it seems that I'm at a big disadvantage -_- since I'm in the College of Liberal Arts of DLSU math in this department is taken for granted (>.>)
Gosh I am absolutely nervous and excited at the same time.
I'm a graduate of the Ateneo Grade School and Ateneo High School, but sadly got rejected last year! I HATE my current school (emphasis on the hate) and cannot wait to go back!
I can't remember though which is better of the two in case you couldn't finish the test: LEAVE IT BLANK or SHOTGUN? I remember doing the shotgun method and I guess it didn't do me well. But one of my closest friends left several items blank and got into Management of Applied Chemistry.
Wish me luck! Any more tips? I really need to get in, as in I am desperate.
OMG I am desperate too! Btw I'll be taking it this Sunday too. My assigned room number is 24. Do you know exactly the topics included on Language Proficiency? That's the only part I am doomed at. I studied Identification of Errors, Analogy, Vocabulary, Paragraph Completion, and Idioms: are those the correct topics covered by the ACET? (I can't manage to remember it anymore.)
Please do inform me the whole topics covered by the ACET!
Thank you!

OMG! same! My assigned room number is also 24! It's located at their High School campus right? See you guys tomorrow! Good luck to everyone of us.God Bless us all!
My only weakness and the subject I hate the most is the Math part. Ugh.
