BS Accountacy po. Incoming third year na ko sa pasukan pero me and my family decided na sa Australia na lang ako magtapos.

Hello! Medyo off-topic yung tanong ko, but I hope someone could answer. Pardon me please. Haha.

While you're in Australia and looking/applying for a company, do you submit your resume with a picture of yours? I was told by my English professor when I was a 3rd year college student na sa Pilipinas lang daw may resume na may picture. I just want to confirm lang. (Wala ako tiwala sa prof ko. Joke. ) I am afraid that my resume would be thrown away because I have no picture attached to it. And I am also afraid na pagtawanan kasi may pic. Hahahaha.

Thanks sa sasagot! I'm a fresh graduate in PH, so I have no idea. I'll be moving to Australia next week. Btw, I am a secondary holder of visa 457 just in case magtaka kayo.

Your professor's right. It's not necessary to put your photo in your CV. There's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) legislation in place here.

Hi. I just want to ask kung may idea kayo about the phone interview. Lahat po ba ng student visa application, walang phone interview? Or kapag bachelors lang yon applicable? Kasi nag-apply ako, diploma... I want to know sana kung may phone interview.

I was notified via text by the embassy. They won't tell you the result sa text. They'll just text you this: "We are pleased to inform you that your passport/documents has been dispatched... etc"

I am currently processing my application for Australian Student Visa. I am a Registered Nurse with no hospital experience here in the Philippines. I am scheduled to take my IELTS next month and hopefully by December or January I can fly to Australia since February 2012 will be the opening date for the next semester. I need to attend the orientation and prepare for my stay there.


I will be taking up Bachelor in Nursing. Fortunately, from a 3 years course, I'll be taking the course for 2 years na lang since credited na yung 1 year ko dito sa Pinas. Good thing wala ng board exam after graduation and I can apply na immediately for PR. Same goes with you since you already graduated from Nursing. Sa Victoria University ako in Melbourne.


I believe, no need to go back here in the Philippines to apply for work visa. You will be granted 3 years visa since 3 years originally yung Nursing sa Australia. We're lucky enough na 2 years na lang yung length of study pag Nursing. So you can stay for another year there and process mo na everything.


Try to ask for the assistance of reputable Immigration Agents here sa Philippines. Sa ECA ako nag ask ng assistance. Ms. Frances and Ms. Dhel David are both nice and i-aassist ka talaga nila. Hello there! I'm assuming you're in your last year in BSN studies there. How is the experience of studying there, so far? Plano ko din mag study there, my first plan was to take TAFE Diploma of Nursing/Div 2 Nursing and be EEN eventually, since mas mababa yung tuition nun. But upon reading your post, I've learned na credited pala ng 1 year ang BSN dito sa Pinas? Victoria University din balak ko pasukan eh, how much yung tuition? And as I am going there independently, is finding a part-time job easy? Thank you.

PS: The reason why i'm contemplating to study in Australia because I failed to get 7 in IELTS "writing" module, for the 3rd time (other modules were very fine). So basically, my option of taking the test again does not interest me anymore (bagsak confidence), hence "goodbye" AHPRA option. And wala din ako 2 yrs hospital experience, only 8 months at volunteer pa talaga. I need to get going na in this Nursing career.

Pareho tayo ng situation regarding IELTS exam. Third take ko na kulelat parin ako sa writing Nakakuha ako ng 9 sa Reading and Listening and 7.5 sa Speaking pero useless parin kun ang Writing ko hindi pasado sa score na hinihingi ng APHRA. Hindi ko na alam ano pa mga options ko

Hi, my daughter will apply for her first student visa....she already got the CoE from her preferred school but when we're trying to do the application process online, after the CoE stage, it is giving us an error message like this:

The following errors have been encountered:

I tried to look many times where did we go wrong but couldn't find any!!

Have any of you encountered the same problem when applying for your first student visa?
