tophe_17, may ganun palang regulation sa Intramuros. Well, retrofitting nga lang ang solution para hindi masayang yung total floor area ng structure. Pero kung pwede lang sana i-demolish, lyceum could produce a much better design for a new building.

Kung matuloy ang east bldg, Baka eto na yung gawing main building na may school name sa itaas, kasi yun na ang mas visible mula sa labas.

^ ngunit mawawalan ng saysay ang main building sa kasalukuyan na dinisenyo pa naman ni Don Tomas Mapua. Mas okay siguro na tawagin ang East Building na Front Building / Frontage imbes na Main Building.

Kung magtatayo man ng gusali sa East dapat panatilihin pa rin na may open space sa pagitan ng East Building at kasalukuyang Main Building para may view / vista pa rin ang masterpice ni Mapua pagtingin papasok ng MIT.

to yuchengco: ang dami dami pang lupain sa quezon city. bumili na lang at gumawa ng malaking campus ng mapua, na may MIT sports complex, MIT theater, MIT hotel, MIT hospital.

pati yung gym at yung faculty iibahin hehe. sabi ng prof ko last term, by january na daw mag start. yung dog house/pavillion dun itatayo yung building.

actually di po ganun kalaki binarat ni yuchengco. sabi samin ng prof namin sa arki, binibili ata ** ni yuchengco ng 75M? tapos di pumayag *** owner den nung binenta sa LPU, 45M nalang ata? basta mas mababa po kesa sa offer ni yuchengco.

agreed. ayaw ibenta kay Yuchengco yung building sa tabi, so napunta sa Lyceum. i dont know the reason why. pero yun nga. ayaw ibenta kay yuchengco

Any idea sa magiging itusra ng building?
Sabay din ba ang renovation ng Gym and Main Building sa East Building?

possibly similar design to other buildings, just incorporating classical styles (since ito ang ruling sa Intramuros na kailangan design ng buildings ay Hispanic or Renaissance)... wala pa ako nakikita na magiging itsura ng building pero ayon sa mga nabalitaan ko e Green Building ang itatayo (meaning sustainable ang design)... Di ko alam kung sabay ang Gymnasium... I must apply at Coscoluella para mag-espiya

With the planned demolition of the gymnasium, people around the Mapúan community questioned where the students will attend their Physical Education classes. Department of Physical Education and Athletics Director Melchor Divina shared that the students will conduct their Physical Education classes at the YMCA Gymansium and the MIT Cardinals will rent a dormitory unit near the Institute. “This is good, as the gymnasium will be renovated, we will get more facilities”, shared Mr. Divina."

mas malapit sa Intramuros yung sa YMCA. Malayo kung sa Makati pa. BTW, may gymnasium pala sa Makati? I thought sa Intra din nagp-PE mga Makati peeps.
