memorable uaap moments you witnessed live

    good:
    2001 championship
2004 jv casio's "THE SHOT" and the ensuing celebration (not a ring because that was taken away)
2007 FERDINAND'S ROOKIE YEAR (this is so important to the ferdinerds)
    2007 championship
2008 maui's buzzer beater vs ust
2008 cha cruz and melissa gohing
2010 oda tampus (oo ikaw na ang nagpanalo sa atin) and joseph marata's clutch performance vs ateneo on 07/24

    bad:
2004 la salle loses by 20 to FEU, goes 4-4. alumni call for franz's head
    2005 manny salgado
    2007 ust's 12 points in 1:30 vs la salle
2008 la salle loses crown to ateneo
2009 missing the final four for the first time while not suspended
    2010 FERDINAND'S LAST YEAR

the feeling of beating ue in game 1 of the 2007 finals was one of the best feelings ever. ang daming nag-iiyakan ng tears of joy. sakit sa tenga nung mga nagtitiliang babae. lol we were clearly outnumbered by UE fans because everybody thought that UE was going to run over la salle like a lawn mower routinely cutting grass

2nd Round 1996 .. The first time that Ateneo ever beat Lasalle in the UAAP by over 20 points -- with matching greatest BBB Halftime Show of ALL TIME!

-Gec Chia Shot heard around the world!
    -Countless LA Tenorio Winning Moments
-Doug Kramer Shot with 1sec left in the Game,
-Ateneo winning the Championship in 2002,2008,2009
-Ateneo losing the Championship in 2001,2003,2006
    -Countless Enrico Villanueva Power Slams
    -Countless JC Intal Power Slams
    -Countless Japeth Aguilar Power Slams
-Countless Clutch Plays of Chris Tiu
-Undersized Gabby Cui outmuscling Future PBA Star - Danny I.
    - and many many more! ...
    - not too many memories during the 90's (Dark Ages) since I was facing the crowd during the game and almost never got to see any highlight plays ..
    - shouting ONE BIG FIGHT! at the top of my lungs directly behind the head of Joaqui Trillo while he was commentating a game with Jimmy Javier .. (when I watched the replay, I heard my voice over the TV, and Joaqui Trillo commented -- "Wow this Ateneo Gallery is really going WILD!)
    - Jimmy Javier, looking over his shoulder and seeing me shouting at Joaqui Trillo's head, and giving me the "Thumbs Up" sign...

I saw the final minutes of this game on Studio 23 at Z-Squared with a couple of blockmates. I've never seen the usually humid canteen so crowded. Brother Salazar dismissed us early from RELSTRI since everybody was itching to see the game.

After UE's unsuccessful final possession, there was a collective silence in the canteen that lasted for a painful second. Afterwards, pandemonium ensued. A handful of students were on top of the tables jumping like crazed animals, girls were crying and screaming. The noise was heard all the way to the Yuchengco lobby.

It wasn't exactly live so I guess that wouldn't count.

The epic moments I saw live would definitely include Game 2 of the 2007 Finals match between UE and DLSU (had goosebumps singing the Alma Mater), DLSU's blowout over FEU last August 28, DLSU's blowout against ADMU when I was still in highschool (the very same year when Fonacier went down with ACL) and the recent UAAP CDC when everybody cheered for UP while FEU mourned over their bridesmaid's finish.

PS. I just realized that throughout my stay in DLSU, I never saw an Ateneo La Salle game live where the Green Archers won. My blockmates would do everything to prevent me from acquiring tickets. Ever since, I've learned how to be content in seeing the game on TV.

I witnessed all the games of my school live from my (college) freshie year up to my senior year. My scholarship would be forfeited if I'd miss some so there. hehe! Unfortunately, I was there but I really can't watch the games directly. Most memorable so far was 2006. Ü

    EDIT: 2nd sem sports included.

    The Good:

-Henry Ong's dagger 3-ball that sunk La Salle for good n Game 2 of the '96 Finals
-Cyrus Baguio's 2-hand reverse jam on Ren-Ren Ritualo's grill in Game 2 of 1999 Finals
-UST's Final Four win in 2006 where they gained a Finals slot after beating UE twice (hi Bon Bon )
-Jojo Duncil hitting clutch shots as UST clinched the 2006 title

    The Bad:

-Doug Kramer's nakaw shot in Game 1 of 2006 Finals
-James Yap and the rest of UE creaming UST in the Final Four in 2001-2002, which was also Baguio's last year
-Ateneo eliminating UST in the Final Four in 2008

    The Ugly:

-Dino Aldeguer's Hail Mary heave in Game 3 of 1999 Finals at the Cuneta Astrodome, which DLSU eventually won. To make matters worse, the losses of UST to La Salle in Game 2 and 3 of this series started a nearly decade-long losing streak of UST to La Salle which was only broken in 2007 via that miracle game of Mirza. Which reminds me, UST has beaten DLSU only ONCE from 1999 to 2010.

Sigh. Gone are the days of the DLSU-UST rivalry that dragged the poor fates of Carmela Vizconde and Hubert Webb.

Oo nga, grabe yung asaran nung height ng UST-DLSU rivalry. They met 3 straight years in the Finals in the early to mid '90s, with a 4th time in '99.

And grabe din asaran and physicality ng players nun. I remember Jason Webb showing the middle finger in his two hands on national TV as he was slipping on the floor from a hard foul from Dennis Espino.

And those were very strong teams: La Salle had Tony Boy Espinosa, Webb, Tyrone Bautista, Elmer Lago, Allen Glenn Patrimonio, Maui Roca, Chris Tan, Cali John Orfrecio, Alvin Magpantay, Dominic Uy and Mark Telan among others. UST had Espino, Bal David, Edmund Reyes, Gerard Francisco, Chris Cantonjos, Dale Singson, Richard Yee, Patrick Fran and Estong Ballesteros.

don't worry, you'll get over them as these things never really happened as DLSU eliminated UST in 2001-2002 and UST DID NOT enter the final four in 2008

Here one memorable game I watched. I dunno if it was season 67 or 68. I can't remember if UST was gunning for a sweep and automatic championship trophy or it was a championship game itself but it was a very tough UP team and the game was really close. It was the most exciting Baseball game i've watched ever. Ü
