I still pick Lebron. Lebron have more impact in the game than Durant. He does more at both ends of the floor than Durant. But if you talk about FIBA type of game, Durant's game is more suited internationally.
The Final Score: Durantís domination versus LeBronís The Decision

In the aftermath of FIBA supremacy in Turkey, the Kevin Durant bandwagon has snowballed into a belief. LeBron James has witnesses (99% reside outside of Cleveland). Durant has believers. To believe in Durant is to believe that he is not LeBron. The former is a go-to-guy who went berserk in the FIBA World Championships. The latter is a go-to-guy who went soft in the eyes of critics. LeBronís bandwagon is headed for South Beach. Durantís bandwagon seems headed for world domination.
Today isnít the best time to profess unquestionable loyalty to the King. NBA beat writers highlight Durantís humility the same way they frown on LeBronís hubris. I donít condemn what James did. I donít totally agree with those who condemn how he did it. But if many judge LeBron for all the supposedly wrong moves he made, twice as many feel Durant has made all the right moves up to this point. I canít help but agree.
Meet the NBAís answer to The Decision. I wonít be surprised if the league portrays Durant as the anti-LeBron. But wait. How come nobody wants to drag Kobe Bryantís name in the mix? Bryant just won a championship and NBA titles function as immunity bracelets. James, therefore, isnít protected from the backlash of playoff failure. James is also not exempt from the unjust burden of comparison.
Durant is such a physical specimen. Itís difficult to compare him with anyone else. Heís like George Gervin mixed with a dash of David Thompson, I think. I canít compare him with Michael Jordan the way people tend to do with LeBron and Kobe. Heís not Magic Johnson even if heís 6í10. Heís not Larry Bird even if he shoots threes like there was nothing to it. Hereís a stretch; think Yancy de Ocampo if he plays like Sol Mercado and James Yap on a hot streak.
I wouldnít be surprised if NBA executives are body-bumping each other in delight. Theyíve found the air freshener that will combat the stink of LeBronís off-season egopalooza. Durant pushed the Lakers to DEFCON 2. He led Team USA to the championship. If he carries the Thunder to the 2011 Western Conference Finals, heíll complete the feel-good trifecta his bandwagon will root for. The Durant mass-movement is at its strongest. LeBronís legend is at its strangest. I wouldnít be surprised if the Thunder suddenly becomes Americaís team and Durant becomes Americaís player.
Even during the Beijing Olympics, LeBron wasnít ďThe Boss" even if he played like a beast. We wait for James to rule South Beach (if Wade allows it). All will change when LeBron wins his ring. He wants to win a championship the best way he knows how. I respect that. Durant, in the meantime, remains Oklahoma Cityís scorer almighty and Team USAís Superman in sneakers. There is no backlash when a guy wants to be ďThe Man" even if it means carrying an NBA team, a national team and eventually an entire league on his skinny shoulders. -- GMANews.TV
Bakit ba bantay na bantay ang mga tao rito sa bandwagon?
Dapat ba sanggol pa lamang e hinahangaan na namin si Durant para hindi matawag na bandwagoneer?
IHMO people are blowing the Kevin Durant hoopla out of proportion. Yes, he lead the Team USA B-Team at the worlds but who did they beat? A bunch of B-Teams as well.
Right now, I'd take leBron over KD eventhough Bron is D-Wade's sidekick.
Is this a kobe-LBJ extension thread?
Kevin was impressive. Kudos, to team USA.
But NBA > FIBA World Tourney.
Miami vs Oklahoma NBA Finale sooner? why not, James vs Durant match up is as highly anticipated as Lebron-Kobe.
I'll take KD over Bron. KD is very talented and has those skills to match when he got in the league. when he entered the NBA, KD can already score anywhere in the floor in and out easy... but he must add more post move to attract more double team though he has that already but he needs to be more dominant inside just like the way he's shooting lights out anywhere in the field.. must improve defense though he's already a decent defender and he hasn't putting that mass in the weight room, plus add that NBA maturity
As for Bron, I think he hasn't improve that much since getting in the finals though his range is on another level now and he's more consistent from the 3's. Bron hasn't improved that post move that he can be a lethal threat inside and that's where KB beats Bron... KB has that very technical footwork down the post just anywhere in the floor. that's why teams already know how to guard Bron, they put Bron on a 1-4 island it's either Bron take the 3, take a jump shot or drive(hopes he score or get fouled or not) then thatís it... teams will just adjust on the double and the switching..
let the debate begin's..
KD Fan here
First time I watch him was 2006 Mcdonalds game was Impressed from that day on.. and the rest history as i Follow this kids career..
to tell you honestly I donít know where KDís career will goes, if heíll ever win a title or even win a MVP plum!
But at this current moment on KD simply has whatever it take inside that makes him want the weight of a game on his back.
This kid has NoFear, IceOnhisVain, attitude he Never afraid to take the GameWinner! when the game is on line.
Remember this quote against the Lakers series Game 4
ďIt left my hand, I was thinking if this doesnít go in, itís going to be a terrible shot. Theyíre going to criticize me a lot,Ē
LeBron, for all his greatness and All around game he seems to run from (Clutch situation) and Durant who we knows love to runs to it.
that's difference for me..
Plus KD is humble in so many ways.. that its hard not to root for this kid...
Agree, I choose KD as well. He seems to maturing faster than LeBron ever did. Plus he has a likeable personality to boot.
Also, what's up with calling people who think KD is better "bandwagoneers"? I don't get the logic behind it. An example bandwagoneering is posting "Go OKC!" on Facebook when everyone knows you were a heavy supporter of the Bulls last year.
uhm, meron na palang existing dito tol. May powers that be ba na pwedeng mag merge nito sa previous thread?
Hmm. Lebron James, 3x MVP already. Durant has the better team (chemistry wise and lahat sila sabay nagdevelop). Pero siyempre ibang usapan na din kapag nanalo si Durant ng ring this year.
Who's the better player?
Subukan niyong i-switch yung dalawa (James to OKC; Durant to Heat)
If you put KD in Miami = Championship
If you put LBJ in OKC = ??????.. Forget it....
Well for one, KD would not be afraid to take the last shot...
Do you think KD in Miami would beat Dallas last year with Dirk in GOD mode?
LBJ is still the better player. Durant is by far the better closer and he knows how to win.
