MANILA, Philippines - Close friends Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda are producing the Manila concert of Bruno Mars that will be held 3 months from now.

Aquino made the announcement on Twitter on Sunday.

"SURE NA. My 'Dalaw' producing partners, boy abunda & I r part of the producers' coalition bringing in Bruno Mars on April for 1 night in Araneta Coliseum!" she tweeted.

The Filipino-American artist, a rising R&B star, is behind the hit songs "Just The Way You Are," "Grenade" and "Marry You."

He is one of the big international stars who are set to perform in the country this year. The list includes Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - 01/18/11) - Elektra recording artist Bruno Mars is currently sitting on top of the world with his blockbuster new single, "Grenade." The track -- featured on Mars' breakthrough debut album, "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS" -- has just returned to #1 on Billboard's "Hot 100" while simultaneously topping the singles charts in both Canada and the United Kingdom. This marks the second Mars single to accomplish the international feat, following the Grammy Award-nominated "Just The Way You Are" which topped all three countries' charts concurrently back in October. As if all that weren't enough, "Grenade" is also currently iTunes' #1 song in both Germany and Ireland.

Here in the US, the #1 success of both "Grenade" and "Just The Way You Are" establishes Mars as only the sixth-ever solo male artist in history to reach the top of the charts with his first two singles and the first to do so in 13 years. What's more, "Grenade" recently made history with the third biggest sales week of any US single ever (with sales of more than 559,000), and has been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA for total sales exceeding 2 million.

Moreover, the 3x RIAA platinum certified "Just The Way You Are" remains a top 10 favorite on Billboard's "Hot 100," just as "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS" has received gold certification by the RIAA for sales exceeding 500,000. The album is currently ascending back up the Billboard 200 album chart, surging to the #3 position (where it initially debuted upon its October 2010 release).

As with its smash singles, "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS" has also proven an international triumph. In addition to earning platinum certification in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, the album is an out-of-the-box gold certified sensation in the UK with 100,000 units shipped. "DOO-WOPS & HOOLIGANS" is also currently #1 in Germany, as well as #1 on the iTunes charts in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, and Austria.

Meanwhile, both "Grenade" and "Just The Way You Are" are dominating multi-format radio outlets across America. Bruno Mars has been named as the best songwriter of 2010, according to industry publication Music Week. 'Smeezingtons’ Songwriting', a team made up of the Bruno Mars (real name Peter Hernandez), Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine came top in the chart compiled by the magazine.

The team were behind a string of top-selling singles last year including ‘Just The Way You Are (Amazing)’, Cee Lo Green’s ‘F**k You’, B.o.B’s ‘Nothin’ On You’ (which featured Mars), Travie McCoy’s ‘Billionaire’ and the World Cup anthem ‘Wavin’ Flag’ (Sung by Mars and K’naan).

EMI-signed Norwegian songwriting duo Stargate placed second on the list after writing for the likes of Katy Perry, Rihanna and Alexis Jordan. They were followed by Will.i.am (last year’s winner), who spent the year writing songs for artists including Usher and his own group Black Eyed Peas.

Simon Neil, frontman of Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro was the highest-placing Brit on the group, helped largely by the success of ‘Many of Horror’, renamed ‘When We Collide’ when it was released by X Factor winner Matt Cardle and earned the Christmas Number One. Also placing in the top ten were British rapper Tinie Tempah and rising star Labrinth.

GOD BLESS MY CLASSMATE'S FATHER and HIS CO-WORKERS WHO WORKS AT THE AIRPORT. We got to meet Bruno Mars! He and his band flew by a public plane (surprising), and all people except the workers have no idea that he is coming! Omg I was so happy. I screamed at him if I could get a picture but then his bodyguard bumped at me. BTW we were waiting in the departure area; yes her father and his co-workers made ways for it to happen.
