i started watching Weeds, too. and now i'm thinking Hunter would've been perfect as Peeta 3 or so years ago. but now, i feel like he's a bit old to pass up as Peeta. but idk, i still like him.

Alex Pettyfer's alright but he's my Jace Wayland (Mortal Instruments). Ahaha! I dunno.. I find Alex too fierce to play Peeta. That boy has grown since his Alex Rider days.
Alex is my Jace too. i just can't see him as Peeta i mean, yeah he's good looking..but i can't see him as a nice guy like Peeta. idk.

^*highfive* I'm now in Season 3 and enjoying it so far. I was pleasantly surprised to have enjoyed it.

To be on topic: wala pa ba talagang casting news? Maybe they're delaying it since, 2013 pa yung slated release.

^OT: ha! yeah. Silas is so stupid, though

back on topic: last i heard they were still talking about Chloe Moretz and Jodelle Ferland. which i both dislike. i mean, i love Chloe but not as Katniss. as for Jodelle, just no. :/

OT: I know you mentioned him participating in Broadway, pero I haven't really seen videos of him singing up until earlier this day. And boy is he... good! He's just too feminine. And isn't Peeta a bit... on the buff side though?

I had to google Jodelle. SILENT HILL GIRL!!!! She looks... young. And yeah, Chloe is cool and all, but she is just not Katniss. I'd rather they cast an unknown actress.

^OT: i haven't seen that play either. i just saw pictures of him in it. and idk, i've seen his body and he looked buff enough and cute. they'd probably cast someone knew anyway. but i still like Hunter hahaha

re: Jodelle, i really do not like her. and she's trying too hard. i've seen her tweet about Katniss/HG i don't want her :/

Haha! I like him too! I'm still in season 3, and judging by the sheer amount of naked pictures of him floating in the net (thanks to google) on the latest season of Weeds, he pretty much buffed up recently. Much to the delight of us, watchers. Yes yes?

I can't blame her if she's trying too hard. Maybe she's a fan of the series? Parang si Kristen Bell! She tweets about Hunger Games. If she was younger, I bet she'd be wanting that lead role in the movie as well. Pero since she's in her 30s... she could be Effy! Ay. On the second thought. Too thin and not believable to be acting all ditzy like.

^i'm very delightful, yes. and i'm super excited to get to those episodes. i'm still in season 3, too, and it's getting better..lol

re: Jodelle. i saw her in Eclipse, and she is not a good actress. and also too young. we need a fierce-looking Katniss. and i love Kristen Bell. she could be one of the tributes or something.

It is! I'm in the part where one of the Olsen twins is Silas' flavor of the season. Heeh.

Ooooh! So that's why her face is familiar!! I haven't seen Eclipse and honestly, no plans in seeing it. I remember seeing her sa trailer. (I should have checked imdb instead of just looking at pictures. *facepalm*)

Girl can't act? Nasa twilight eh. That franchise seems to bring out the worst in its actors and actresses, no matter how talented they are in other endeavors. (I apologize to Twilight fans. Just my 2 cents) Sorry for digressing.

Well anyway. I have high hopes for this adaptation. I hope Suzanne's script pulls through. Pero if the actors aren't good, the good material will be wasted. Oh well. *crosses fingers*

  9. #49
^i'm not on that part yet. lol

and no, that girl can't act, well at least from what i saw. and i agree, re: acting in twilight. they're so much better outside of it.

with the right director and a good script, i think the movie'll just be fine, no matter who they cast. at least, i hope so :/

That Jodelle kid creeps me out. Maybe because of Silent Hill or Case 39. And I don't know if that's good for someone who'll play Katniss.

Anyway, does this picture of Hugh Dancy just screams Cinna?

Chloe Mortez Would 'Absolutely Die' To Play Katniss

It seems from the very moment it was announced Suzanne Collins' dystopian survival novel "The Hunger Games" would be adapted for the big screen, the blogosphere has been trying to cast the lead of 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen. Of course, Hollywood Crush weighed in with its own casting wishlist, as well. One name that keeps coming up is 13-year-old Chloe Moretz, who's rumored to be a front-runner for the coveted role. So when the "Kick-***" star stopped by the MTV offices to talk about her latest flick "Let Me In," we just had to ask if she was even interested in the project. The short answer: Absolutely!

"Katniss is my homegirl," Chloe said about the casting rumors. "I would absolutely die to be in 'The Hunger Games.' I'm just sayin' that."

In fact, Chloe's already began prepping for the part by diving into the trilogy. "I'm like halfway through the first book right now. It's pretty good; I'm really loving it," she said.

When asked if she could see herself in the role, she of course answered affirmatively. "I'm cool with Katniss. I think I could pull off Katniss, don't you?"

What the what! Moved to 2013? Jusku kala ko ba hanggang 2012 lang. I said it and I'll say it again, I hate Mockingjay. Hahaha.

Lyndsy Fonseca Ready to Devour Hunger Games
    By Breanne L. Heldman | October 11, 2010

Speculation regarding who will direct the adaptation for Suzanne Collins hit series, The Hunger Games, has already hit a fever pitch, but casting rumors have been kept at a pretty subtle whisper.

Of course, fans have been campaigning in all caps throughout the interwebs for some of their favorite actresses to land the coveted lead role of tough teen Katniss Everdeen. Among them have been Hit-Girl Chloe Moretz, Dakota Fanning, Skins star Kaya Scodelario and Nikitas Lyndsy Fonseca.

Well, believe it or not, we scored a little news during this weekends New York Comic Con

Fonseca has the Hunger Games script in hand and will be reading it this week.

I actually just got sent the script, she tells NextMovie. I havent read it yet. Well see. Im actually flying to L.A. on Tuesday because Ive been in Nikita world I dont have any time off. But I have a week off now for the first time in two or three months and Ive got a stack of scripts to get through. I know very little about it. Ill talk to you after I read it.

Needless to say, we imagine shell like what she reads.

What do you think does Lyndsy have the stuff of a future Katniss, or should it be another star on the rise? Sound off!

i like her. i've been watching Nikita and she's actually pretty good

Hi guys! Hunger Games fan here too. Kinda disappointed it's been moved to 2013 but I guess they didn't want to rush it. Besides, I just couldn't believe they had planned a 2011 release when Mockingjay was just released and they don't even have a cast yet!

^OT: that show's my new favorite right now

anyway, why's everyone saying they'll move the movie to 2013? i mean, it looks like they're already looking for the casts. maybe they'll be able to start filming next year and have the movie released by probably early or summer of 2012. 2013 just seems too far :/

antagal pa pala ng movie version....
