In VUL, 5 years to pay. Can I opt to stay for another let say 10 years but I want to omit accidental/health/etc. insurance in that policy?

    What company is your VUL?
With SunLife VUL, we have limited paying plan like 5 and 10 years, but if you want to continue after, it is okay because you put additional fund in your policy for higher number of units..
Additional benefit can be deleted, if you want to, sign forms.
Pero mas okay kung meron, WHAT IF? Alam mo na, l-IF-e is full of IF's..

For those in Sunlife, meron ba kayong non-participating na whole life insurance? I'm seriously considering getting whole life BUT I want to control the investing part kaya gusto ko pure insurance lang.

    thanks in advance!

Yes we do have whole life insurance but all our whole life insurance plans are participating (with dividends and cash value).

We have Term Insurance, it's non participating. It is purely protection.

    Which one would you prefer.

    Anyone from BPI-Philamlife?
Attractive yung Term insurance prices niyo eh.

On second thought, mas advantageous pala sa akin yung term insurance

Hi why don't you try to made some inquiry in Loyola Plans Inc.. The company is now 43 in service I think it would be enough reason to trust.. Sympre di naman tatagal ng ganun yon if di maganda ang pamamalakad at service ng company. My friend got some plans there and I'm thinking to get one for me too. And its in the news now that Loyola plans wants to buy the Prudential Plans, I think maybe it would be nice if the plans succeed for the benefit of the plan holders from the said company.. Good luck.

Hello guys, I am planning to buy my mom an insurance. Here is what i am looking for.

    1. She can use for her check ups.
    2. If in case she gets hospitalize she can use it.
    3. When she dies she can use it to have a decent burial ( actually i am not comfortable with this but you know its a fact every one of us will pass to this stage hehe ).

I just thought that this would be a great gift for her.

Please PM . I dont have enough knowledge on insurances but I really want to buy one for my mother. Thanks.

If you are working, see if you can arrange to have your mother declared as your dependent for PhilHealth. That will qualify her for some benefits in case she is hospitalized, and does not cost you anything extra.

This is not complete, obviously, but adds some protection even if you are still shopping around for medical coverage.

If you want to provide for burial costs, you might consider a memorial plan instead of life insurance. Most memorial plans are redeemable in services (which rise in price over time) rather than in cash (which is fixed), so you don't have to worry about inflation. Some memorial plans even include a little life insurance coverage for a limited term.

Finally, I advise you to be open to the possibility that you might need more than one product to meet all your objectives.

yes, i am working and i already declared her as my dependent.
but in case she get hospitalize, can the philhealth almost all the fees living me with no worries? maybe i should get both memorial and life insurance.

can you suggest some good insurance and memorial plans?

the company i am working for provided me with maxicare but i am thinking of a life insurance outside the company, in case i resign i still have the insurance.

    thanks for the reply.

Maybe you should check PhilHealth's schedule of benefits. It might not be adequate for your needs, but is available at no added cost, which is why I suggested it - while you are shopping around for added medical insurance.

There are many good insurance companies but note that medical insurance and life insurance are age-limited. I do not know how old your mother is and it is possible she might not qualify for insurance, or will be charged a high rate.

the company i am working for provided me with maxicare but i am thinking of a life insurance outside the company, in case i resign i still have the insurance.
I don't think you can buy life insurance from Maxicare - it is a health maintenance organization, not an insurance company. And since you mentioned something about giving your loved on a decent burial - that doesn't like something Maxicare will pay for.

So I think what you should look for is 1) medical insurance for your mother, and 2) life insurance OR a memorial plan.

  16. #256
I just checked the Maxicare website. They have individual plans. If you like their service, maybe you should ask them first.
