I don't think I need to add anymore gauging from the reactions of posters on yt especially Charice's fans. Honestly, I have never been comfortable with MN because I've always doubted his sincerity as a person. In other words 'plastic.' No offense meant to fans but I myself used to be a fan of team Martin-Pops during their Penthouse days and later I got the vibe that something is wrong with him and so he's off my favorites list since then. Hubby always asks me to turn channels when he sees MN's face on tv. Same impression on him as being arrogant and 'insincere.' Of course, I never met him so I may be wrong. But what he said on tv, and whoever wrote that for him, must explain to the general public.

fabbest: Granted, his crediting the other stars led to a faux pas... we can blame the writer, the speaker - but it remains undeniable that AP and Charice break records wherever their shadows touch.
celadonia: To the general Filipino audience who are not aware of statistics of yt of Lady Gaga and Bieber, when one mentions YT sensations, they can only think of AP and Charice. Even then if I were a fan of LG and JB, I'd be offended too because obviously they are miles ahead in terms of talent, being the original artists and especially being songwriters themselves. The statement for me is quite irresponsible. The writer, Martin, or the director whoever is in charge of those statements should never even touch that territory. ASAP by and large is not a show known for originality if you know what I mean so there is no point of raising false pride in one's own pool of talents by comparing them with with the real thing. They would only sound lame and arrogant. The majority of the comments on the video are a proof ASAP producers should be careful of statements that they put out there. They're show is seen worldwide, again thanks to AP and Charice who have become international stars in their own right. And of course, there's yt where everybody can watch everything. ASAP should know better.
clarissa: I blame the writer for being an idiot. He/she might meant other
foreign acts now famous because of YT,but should have known better
that those sensations now include their own station's talents.
Martin probably didn't realize the implications of what he just
read since I don't think they rehearse those spiels at all.
Oh and I hate those teleprompters and that giant overhead kareoke
screen on the show. The talents rely on them too much when singing
and they look unprofessional and ridiculous.
