Yes, that is, if you (I'm assuming you are referring to yourself as the married person) have decided to use your husband's surname. Remember that a married female has the option to use either her maiden name or her spouse's surname; hindi naman kasi requirement na magpalit ng surname after getting married. Minsan nakaka-complicate pa iyan.

But to answer your question: YES
And during the renewal itself, ipapa-confirm naman iyong data/info.

Ask ko lang, nagpa-sked ka na? When did you do it and what's the earliest schedule that was available?

Grab it! Ang hirap daw humanap ng sked lately. . .worry about the docs later, kung kulang ka naman pababalikin ka ng DFA officer, anytime pwede mo ibalik iyong kulang (hindi na kailangan magpa-sked ulit).

Just the same, NSO docs are available in 3 days.

    need some help

i applied for my passport renewal last march 4, sa DFA San Fernando Pampanga, april 8 dapat ang release nya til now wala pa. Btw sa agency ako nagpa appointment since kailangan ko madaliin dahil i will have a training abroad.

after april 8 at di na release passport ko, i was advise by the agency na magpagawa ng letter sa company na katunayan aalis ako on a said date, i already submitted it sa kanila around april 15.

i hope may makatulong at makasagot. thanks in advance

WTF! You don't need a damn letter to get a passport. . .

    I smell something fishy. . .

I suggest i-report mo sa DFA Manila, or isumbong mo kay tulfo!

Baka inaantay nila na "magpadulas" ka since you seem desperate to get the passport.

i mean letter coming from the company para mapaaga ang release, or this time delayed na nga eh.

kasi diba sa website ng DFA may nakalagay dun if yung departure mo is earlier than appointment date pwede if may supporting docs ka from your company.

so ito nangyari, i asked our HR if pwede makahingi ng supporting docs since ang appointment date ko is mar 26 (online sched) para makapag pa appointment ako prior to mar 26. kaso di nag reply ang HR. so since nagmamadali din ako, may na kontak akong agency then they gave me a slot ng march 4 (dfa pampanga). Knowing may prob machines ng DFA, pinatulan ko na since almos a month din ang diperensya. so baka mas madelay ako if antayin ko mar 26 appointment ko sa manila.

ng nasa DFA na ako, nakapaskil dun no rush processing dahil nga daw may prob, and 25 working days daw. so release date is april 8, which is still acceptable sa akin. pero ito come april 8 wala yung passport, delayed daw, so ayun hiningan ako ng letter from company para present daw nila sa DFA para ma rush daw, ang prob wala silang mabigay na definite date. which is parang unacceptable naman since i comply with the requirements.

If punta ako sa DFA san fernando, what steps shoul i take? para atleast alam ko dapat gawin. may mga officer ba dun na in charge sa mga ganitong situations? thanks

BTW, i also paid 3500 fee(including the passport fee) for that apppointment. which is sa akin ok lang dahil nagmamadali nga ako, kaso nakaka frustrate yung ganitong situation.

  8. #88
Ang problema diyan is may disclaimer na agad sa DFA website regarding these delays:
    http://epassport.com.ph/

So the next best thing I think is to talk to an officer.
Of course, if the delays are because of mechanical failures, there's not much we can do about it.

    Good Luck!

    Important

Power failures, technical breakdowns and natural calamities may delay the release of passports. Applicants are advised to book flights taking into consideration such incidents. NO REFUND of fees will be made on account of these unforeseen delays.

    * This is a requirement for applying for or renewing a passport. The DFA will not entertain applicants without valid appointments.
    * Please note that if you place multiple appointments, your previous appointments will be automatically canceled.
    * All Saturday Appointments is for rush processing only

Well, you can't expect most government agencies to be pro-active

How about calling the hotline/call center?

Sa Canada ba ito? Isasauli rin ng Embassy iyong package mo if kulang, in your case, walang passport.

August pa naman ang expiration. . .aabot pa iyon even if 8 weeks ang processing. Ang impt iyong LMO mo was valid upon submission.

    @hogman,

Well, as I said, you need to submit the complete package, otherwise, they will return it (nangyari sa akin ito).

This is unlike an immigration application, where they will just ask for the passport at a latter time.

hi mimi_hk, was surprised to see the earliest schedule now, it's June 29....

is there any chance na mabago pa yun?....how about by phone same din ba ang available dates?

    thanks

  18. #98
    told you. . .

    may chance na mabago: tsambahan!
usually talaga, 2 months ang waiting time for a schedule. nagkakaroon lang ng opening once may nag-cancel ng sked. It so happened naka-tsamba ka nung May schedule.

you can try and try, kaso dapat matiyaga ka kasi kelangan input muna ng data before makapili ng sked.

i assume iyong call center will have the same schedule as the one in the website.

There shouldn't be any problem with this. All the better nga to renew your green passport and have the biometric one (which I still need to ask how Filipinos benefit with having biometric passports in the Philippines).
