question po. May courtesy lane pa ba ang DFA for GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES? Mother ko kasi Gov't employee so I'll just use the privilege if ever na meron pa. If ever na meron, can I go there directly even without an appointment?

i hope not... all people from all walks of life should be treated fairly... besides, i don't think you need a "courtesy lane" since the new DFA system is pretty efficient... after 30mins you're all done... no offense meant...

ask ko lang: kung valid pa ba yung green passport to travel? sa 2012 pa kasi ang expiration date. kailangan pa ba iparenew?

Kung sa 2012 pa ma expire passport mo valid parin yan. or pede mo na rin po siya pa renew, passport ko by 2012 rin ma expire, nag ask ako question sa DFA kung pede na pa renew 1year before expiration sabi nila pede na raw. kaya nag pa sched na ako this may para pa renew passport.

Basta po ba walang email galing sa DFA about new appointment valid pa rin po ba yung previous appointment?

D po kasi ako umabot dun sa part na sinabi ng DFA na napadala na nila yung application letter sa e-add ko. After nun, di ko na tinuloy yung new appointment.

I think may "monkey business" na namang nagyayari dyan sa DFA kasi pag thru travel agency medyo mas mabilis ka makakuha ng appointment. Other countries are using e-passport na rin pero they can easily get one, di tulad sa atin.

Yung Canadian friend ko na dual citizen nagpa-renew ng passport niya na di na nag-appointment at di na pumila pa. Paano? May kakilala siya sa DFA. At least that's what she told me. Believe it or Not.

So to answer you question: YES may courtesy lane ............. para sa mga may kilala sa "loob".

hello everyone, i want to ask reg sa passport ng anak ko...yung passport nya ay yung maroon passport na may needed na signature at the last page...sa 2013 yung expiration date...

i remember kasi ako ang nagbigay ng specimen signature when i applied for him although at the beginning of the application ay kasama ko sya pero nung pagbalik ko the following day ay hindi ko na sya sinama kasi sabi naman nung nakausap ko duon ay pwedeng ako na lang magtapos ng application...so ako na lang pumirma in his behalf...

up to now, blank pa rin yung kailangan isign dun sa last page kasi hindi ko alam kung ako pa rin magsign sa last page ng passport since signature ko ang naibigay ko sa kanilang specimen signature during the application...

hindi ko naman naalalang naitanong to clarify when i was still there sa DFA dati...and now im having problems with that kasi plan ko na magapply ng US tourist visa with my son...

please advise, should I be the one to sign at the last page of the passport?...thanks so much

Not true. Tiyempuhan lang din. When I started to work on getting a passport, I asked from the Travel agencies. This was back in November and all the three agencies I inquired at had January as their earliest appointment available. When I logged into the DFA site on my own, I was able to schedule an appointment 2 weeks from the day that I made the appointment. So my appointment was November 30 and got my passport on December 16. That is an okay turn-around time for me.

mga mam sir question po...kapag nakapag set po ako ng sched tapos nakita ko po nung printout na may mali sa application form ko so umulit po ako ng pag apply at pagset ng date pero same day din naman...mababaliwala po ba yung unang appoinment ko or pwede pa din?

lahat ba ng gusto magparenew kelangan magbook online for appointment? o puede sa regional dfa? kelangan magrenew ng mother ko ng passport, sa province may dfa office...puede kaya punta na lang doon to book appointment? o lahat kelangan maglodge online para sa appointment pa lang?

Help! Balak kong umalis for Singapore ng April 19 tapos balik rin agad ng 22. Eh nakita ko mageexpire na yung passport ko ng 25, pwede pa kaya gamitin yun? Tapos magrerenew na lang ako pag balik ko?

Regarding sa passport renewal:

Nagpa-appointment ako online for the renewal of passport. I didn't receive anything sa email. I called the DFA appointment thingy (737-1000) they told me fully booked na raw ngayon at hindi na sila nagaaccept ng appointment. We have to wait til June to be able to get an appointment again.

I was so pissed why is the system like this? hindi naman ganito dati ha? I was gonna avail of the rush processing sana which is 1,200 compared sa regular na 950 pero wala rin.

6months prior to expiration dapat nagpa-renew ka na ng visa mo. Otherwise, the airlines won't allow you to check-in and immigrations will not let you out of the country.

Renewal and new passport applications must go through the online appointment system of the DFA. If you don't get your appointment and passport on time, you're not able to travel.

Well, common knowledge naman na dapat magpa-renew 6 months prior to expiry, because you can never tell if you will suddenly need to use it.

Actually (and surprisingly), the new system is quite efficient. It just so happened na baka madami talaga nagpapa-renew. But during the renewal itself, mabilis lang.

Better try the online appointment kasi nakaka-tiyempo doon ng early schedule.

Iyong mga hindi maka-antay, try niyo sa Clark office ng DFA.

Saka as far as I remember, yearly ang City of Makati may passport renewal service in celebration of its anniversary. Parang May 15 pupunta ka sa city hall, then makuha mo may 31 iyong passport. hindi ko lang sure kung by appointment din or first-come-first-serve.

Bottomline: huwag antayin kung kailan deadline saka kikilos.

guys, ask ko lang pano pag single dati tas magrerenew na ngayon na married. dun ba sa online application mo lalagay mo na yun bago mong surname?
