Hi, to those who renewed their PH passports recently, how long does the whole process take in the DFA? I've read in some blogs that even if you have an appointed time, the whole thing can last for hours, with one blogger stating she had to wait for 5 hours because yung mga late sa previous appointments, inaaccomodate pa sa next sched? Thank you

    Maraming salamat.
They are very strict as far as ID is concern. They prefer government issued ID's like SSS, TIN, voter's ID, etc.

Try to bring some school records or old school ID's.

Your parents wedding date is not an issue. What is important is your name (spelling) and your birthdate.

Depending on the queue. i suggets if you can get early morning time slot mas m,abuti kasi mas mabilis.

Lecheng buhay to.

Buset.

^ That's weird. Nagapply kami ng boyfriend ko, it took him an hour or so. Ako kasi me extra step. Dun sa ipriprint mo, me requirements pa rin. Alam ko nakapost sa labas yung requirements. Pero ang dami parin nagpapaphoto copy. Dami pa ring kulang ang dalang documents.

Puno yung seat nung dumating kami. Then the guard asked the last 2 lines to follow him.

Natapos siya before 12 including yung payment for delivery.

Siguro sa time din. Pag siguro ganun kaaga dami me appointment tapos yung kinuha namin alanganing oras.

Hello, I have a passport query:

My bag was stolen last May and inside it, andun yung passport ko with US Visa, Postal ID (which are my 2 gov't issued IDs) and other IDs. Natira sakin company ID nalang and other docs like NSO Birth Certificate and ITR. What's the fastest way to get a new passport? May affidavit of loss na ako, and na fax ko na to sa US Embassy for them to cancel my visa. May 2 stamps of travel na yung passport na nawala, both to the States. Help pls.

    Thanks!

    Earlier Release of Passport

Is it possible to request for an earlier release of the passport? I have July 4 as date of release which was fine with me until today when my work required me to leave for Bangkok on the 3rd. My boss already prepared a letter for DFA Manila requesting for the earlier release and stated the reason why and tomorrow I guess I have to go to DFA myself with that letter, would that be enough? Or should I BEG to make this happen? Is there a specific department I should go to or do I wait in line again?

For URGENT requests / matters like that, you have to go directly to the OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DFA Bldg, Ground Floor. Doon mo dalhin letter mo at makiusap. They have the power to grant your request or not. Good luck.
