Hey guys, I hope you don't mind that I'm white and not Philpino but I'm simply trying to help my Philipino best friend's aunt who is currently a Green card holder (permanent resident), is trying to apply for US citizenship. One of the requirements is a proof that all of her PREVIOUS marriages have been terminated or dissolved.
She had a Philippine marriage back there BUT she married the SAME man here. The problem is that Philippine marriage is invalid because the guy was still married to his previous wife when they married in the Philippines.
So the question is where does she obtain the proof that this Philippine marriage is invalid or null or something?
I tried going to the e-census.com.ph website but they don't seem to offer copies for annulment or declaration of nullity papers.
Help please!!! Local numbers to the Philippine government offices and websites would be great! Thanks very much!
